Forma Literal document in Honduras

Hello Everyone,

Me and my Fiance are a victim of procrastination. Our interview is tomorrow and my fiance went to get her forma literal birth certificate today and they told her it would be 8 days before she could get it.....

I need HOPE! haha

Can anyone tell me if they have successfully gone through the VISA interview WITHOUT this document???? She has the regular birth certificates, just not the particular one they are asking for.

Any hope?

If they requested it, it must be required.

So here's what I can see happening [but I'm not sure, maybe you should ask other members going through Honduras Embassy]--they will put you on AP until you provide them with the document. That's if your case is a straight forward one... Good luck!

FROM I-129f NOA1 to VISA APPROVAL: Exactly 8 months! No RFEs

Our AOS Process

July 16, 2013 -- Mailed AOS, EAD, and AP Paperwork to December 21, 2013 -- Received GC Card in the Mail!

FROM NOA1 to GREEN CARD in Hand: Exactly 4 months 27 days! No Interview or RFEs.

Our ROC Process

September 21, 2015 -- Mailed ROC Paperwork to August 6, 2016 -- Received Card in the Mail!

FROM NOA1 to GREEN CARD in Hand: Exactly 10 months 10 days! No Interview or RFEs.

Our {His} N-400 Process

Eligible to Apply for Citizenship on September 14, 2016.

October 4, 2016 -- Mailed N-400 Paperwork.

November 8, 2016 -- Completed Biometrics.

May 6, 2017 -- Received Interview Letter in the Mail.

June 8, 2017 -- Interview Passed!

June 16, 2017 -- Oath Ceremony! He is a USC!!

FROM Application to CITIZENSHIP: Exactly 8 months 13 days! No RFEs.

I just spoke to them today (embassy) since you can only call on Monday & Wed from 2-330 pm. They required all paperwork in forma literal so without it they will send her away and reschedule her appointment. It could just be that lady on the phone but I think that's the policy. Good luck though

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Thanks Dragoy79, I'm praying for Grace on the part of the Embassy, but I understand the requirements. I will find out this morning- she's currently waiting.

Try to reschedule or you are just going to spend money at the embassy, in case your fiance does not live in Tegucigalpa.

They will definitely ask for that form in specific. I hate to say this but in my country if you can tell them people you are going to give them "some cash" for extra help they would definitively help you to get that done in no time.

Well, I have to speak second hand because I wasn't able to attend the interview. She experienced the whole process of fingerprints, interview, documentation check, and paying the fee. She said the interviewer was extremely nice to her and told her she would definitely get the Visa made for her as soon as she came back to the embassy with the correct birth certificate. The interviewer told her she could drop off the birth certificate in the morning and she could pick up her visa that same afternoon.

Overall, I am please with that result. She has family in Tegucigalpa so it was no big deal for her to wait a few more days.
