Not deporting her would be rewarding her....I will be happy to drive her to the airport. She chose to ignore or violate our laws and now does not want to pay the price. Doling out green cards to those who thumb their noses at our laws just because they produced 1 or more children will only encourage others to do the same. It is time to put an end to rewarding illegals...by continuing to do so just makes getting tourist visas even tougher if there is no enforcement of our laws and rules.

Does it not support my claim of how INS selectively picks and chooses who is deported? Of the thousands of examples, is it not one of the most prominent and blatant of them all?

There's always an undercurrent of vindictiveness in the legal immigrant community. Almost as if because their loved ones have gone through a difficult, heart rending process with US immigration that anyone who doesn't do likewise deserves to be punished.

Cases like this should be about what's right for the family (i.e. the kids). Why brutalised people?

What about the people who rob convenience stores? They are doing something illegal to try and make their own lives better, at the expense of the store owners and ultimately, the rest of us. So I guess we should stop "brutalizing" these people, and allow them to rob on?

Not at all, what I said was this:

If they were consistent with who they chose to deport, I wouldn't have any problem with it. But when the Presidents family gets to stay in the US even after defying a deportation order, that doesn't seem quite fair to me.

I actually agree with deporting this woman, she broke the law and should be punished. But I don't agree with Obama's uncle being allowed to stay. He also broke the law but is allowed to stay. Whether or not he is related to the President is irrelevant to me, it's still hypocrisy at it's best. These laws need to be enforced across the board.
