Am I the only one who's still waiting without a Potential Interview Waiver letter?

You're not the only one, we are right there with you...stuck in "Acceptance" and no letter about interview or interview waiver.

I am with the Portland office for a rescheduled appointment and have. Whey does think Portland is not busy.. No interview appt for us. Transferred from San Bernardino Ca to Portland and nothing from Portland.

What is infopass please? Thanks and good luck.

Hi all,

I'm really worried!!! I filed on December 30 (my priority date) and the status for I-485 is still stuck in "Testing and Interview" since Feb 05, no more update since then and no interview letter yet :(( My local office is Portland, OR and I don't think it's a very busy office. What should I do??? Btw, I adjust from F-1.

Also, how do you know if your case is transferred to local office? All of my case statuses do not mention anything about transfer.

Thanks.

I am with Portland local office and unfortunately they are just simply slow. I have received my interview date and it is set for July 16, 2014. I have filed on Dec 16, 2013. After my online status changed to testing and interview it took them nearly 4 months to only schedule a date. I guess you just have to be patient :)

  • 2 weeks later...

I am trying to figure if I can call & ask what is happening with my parents case, we have heard nothing since the possible interview waiver in April?

I do not want to waste my time calling if they are just going to tell me the letter stated it could be 6 months before we hear?

Thanks

We received notification via text message yesterday (7/11/2014) that our card was being produced. We had not ever received any notification of a interview waiver or anything else since the initial acceptance phase.

Best of luck to those still waiting. We filed in late December, so I would think any others should get some sort of notification soon.

Congrats RKat! Like her, I've received approval on my green card without interview or interview waiver letter last Tuesday. My field office is Norfolk, Virginia, in case anyone needs to know.

How I got this however, was because I called USCIS when I noticed my case has exceeded the usual processing dates last Monday. The officer put in an expedited case for me and said I should hear from Norfolk in the next 15 days. But in the AM on Tuesday, I received two updates from USCIS on approval and card production. That was indeed fast. I wished the website can update faster on processing times because the update on latest processing dates was filed from Norfolk in May 2014, but only appeared online this month. I could have minimized loads of trouble going overseas on AOS status if the card was received earlier.

Not complaining though - just really happy. Thanks everyone for counting down with me. I guess the ability to work has made the waiting time less worrying albeit frustrating. I recommend those who haven't heard anything to check their dates and follow up with USCIS. All the best!

Hey, you can check your processing times here http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices. I called their usual Customer Service Hotline - 1-800-375-5283.

Thanks for the info so I called & they acknowledged that the I 130 was overdue so they say they have expedited their cases, that we should hear something in the next 30 days, so at least that is an end in sight.
