Strange thing. The order of my EAD card production date was 12/15. I checked again today and now it says 12/18..

The same happened to me! I actually got new txt from a different number saying that my card went into production on monday + i had got the txt/email on saturday with the same msg!

i assume they're not very accurate with their website but I am just happy that the card is in production anyways smile.png

I just don't get it. We sent our AOS off in the end of November 2013 and heard absolutely nothing while somebody on here that filed in January 2014 has an interview in march! How long are we supposed to wait before calling?

I just think about a case where the girl got a denial letter out of the blue cuz apparently she never received a RFE that uscis sent to her and therefore she never replied to any RFE, causing uscis to consider her case abandoned while she was patiently waiting on them! But she didn't even know anything about a RFE. No emails, no status update, nothing.. I don't want that to happen to me :/

Hey! I read this post and wondered if NYC local office may have more apps than others, as its taking so long for some. It turns out this might be the case, I spoke to someone at USCIS and he said currently the NY office is working on July 2013 apps and that the average waiting time for I-485 is 175 days!! I'm hoping he's wrong and there are people from NYC who have gotten interviews within a reasonable time.

I'm a Jan applicant BTW.

All the best!

As far as I know my case is at NBC currently. I think they are pretty backed up everywhere. Just look at Atlanta. I just think it's very unfair to others, when people that filed after you get an interview before you.

Maybe uscis should just hire some more people. Helps us, reduces unemployment rate and quite frankly I think we pay more than enough to get some sort of service instead of none.

But that's just me ranting. Good luck to you!

topoftherock2013 and van1234essa processing for NYC area has always been slow and/or irregular with updates. I am saying this based on personal experience when I was applying for OPT it just went from initial review to card production. Your cases might actually be under review but might not be updated on the website. I guess if it has been more than 30 days since noa you can call the uscis guys and ask for updates or maybe even schedule an infopass appt.

It's quite surprising that people here are still not getting interview dates etc. I was browsing the January 2014 filers forum and they seem to have already started getting interviews. Might be your local offices are very much backed up or the FBI is taking a long time on your background checks but then it wouldn't make sense too that they are processing the January filers much more quicker than everybody else. Lots of the January filers will have their adjudications in 2 months. Good luck to everyone!

Hey just checking in, wondering how long till interview?

I kind of just expect that my husband and I will get ours after everyone else here. K-1 took over a year, interview wait was 2+ months after medical, noa1 of the adjustment packet took 2 months to receive, finally got work card this week. So I figure I should just add a couple months to what everyone else is getting for our expected dates. It's unfair, but not so bad now I can apply for jobs and learn to drive. The wait is easy when you're with them. I wouldn't really care at this point but need greencard for serious adult business like college aid and mortgage. All my future plans were put on hold till that visa came through, I just can't wait any longer. I'm going to be 25 by the time I start college, all because this process took almost 2 years.

BTW I'm really impressed with how cheap community 2yr colleges are, we have no such option for people wanting to halve the price of a BA in England.

I can empathize... I spent a truckload of money getting my masters and have been unable to utilize it because of this whole process. At least you have your EAD now and can begin working. Also, 25 starting college is not bad at all you'll find a lot of people there who are way older though I have to admit its embarrassing learning how to drive in my 20s when everyone else has had a license since they were teenagers :(.

EAD card production notice on Feb 14.....and since they sent us a tracking number, we will receive the card today according to USPS tracking. Fast 7 days. Notified a few days ago we are now in the interview stage. I wonder when we will get an appointment schedule notice.. I think maybe with a week for the date of interview.. I am guess the interview will be within 2 months, just guessing.

Anyway congrats to everyone. File our AOS around mid Dec 2013 and everything has moved quickly since. Getting all email notices on all our receipts like clockwork. Good luck everyone.

This is my first post on this forum... so hello everyone :)

I have filed AoS form mid December (NOA1 from 12/18/2013).

Yesterday (02/20/2014) my AP & EAD got approved, online status shows that production of my new card has been ordered.

On 02/06/2014 online status for I-485 has been changed to testing and interview and states that my case is now ready for interview scheduling.

It has been over 2 weeks so I've called USCIS and been told that Portland office is processing now cases from 08/12/2013 and they not able to tell me when a date for my interview will be set.

Does it mean that the date will be set when office will start processing cases from December 2013? That I have to wait only to learn a date of my interview for at least another 4 months?

Thank you so much in advance for help and good luck to all of you with AoS pending cases :)
