Can someone calm my nerves?

Okay, so, I'm already past the USCIS and NVC. I got a letter from the NVC on the 13th of November saying my petition was being sent to Rio de Janeiro (our consulate in Brazil) and that in the meantime my fiance should fill out the DS-160 online. Okay, cool. So, we got that all taken care of and filled out. Here's the part that worries me.

Shortly after my fiance completed the online form, I sent and e-mail to Rio asking if he already had an interview date (because I don't really know how things proceed at this point haha). I got a response about 10 days later saying that they had my fiances information in their systems be he hadn't been given an interview date yet. I then found out you could check the visa status of the DS-160 online so I did that with the confirmation number my fiance got when he filled out the form originally. It came up with a status of NO STATUS and that we should contact our consulate. I tried to have my fiance call but he said he wasn't able to talk to a real person and the message said they do not talk about immigrant visas by phone and that we must send another e-mail.

So, its coming up on a month that I got the letter from the NVC and I'm worried because... it doesn't normally take this long to make an appointment for an interview, does it? Everything was going quickly and smoothly up until this point. I feel like I've got a rock in my stomach. I don't know what to do or when I'll hear anything from Rio. Is this NO STATUS problem making it so Rio can't make an appointment for an interview? Someone please help!

I would wait for someone with Rio experience to chime in about the specifics of "No status," but the timeline is in no way odd.

At the CEAC website, did u choose immigrant or non immigrant to track your status? You should choose immigrant to check your case status

Oh, well, I feel silly now. That was the problem. I was checking non-immigrant instead of immigrant. Gente, thank you for resolving all my worries!! You're the best.
