I was interviewed on October 21, 2013, I was optimistic about my interview since it went smoothly well...my Philippine passport along with all of my other documents were collected...however, when I was asked to proceed to window 78, I was given a white 221g paper form, and written in that paper it states, "Wait until you will hear from us."

As I had researched about the 221g status, it generally means that a document(s) is either incomplete and or missing...what dumbfounded me is I had turned in all required documents...I kept asking the lady at window 78 what else is needed but to no avail, the only response i got was to wait...

Now in waiting, I periodically checked the Visa Online Status and still kept getting "Under Administrative Processing with the date October 21, 2013 status...then about a month later, the status date was changed to November 18, 2013 with the same status "Under Administrative Processing."

With your help and advice, has anyone else on here experienced a similar situation as mine? What does this all mean? How much longer do I expect to wait? Is there a timeframe of when I should hear from them? Is this prolonged delay a good sign?

Thanks for helping me out, God Bless cray5ol.gif

Try to call US embassy Manila and ask why you are under AP.

..I was in AP for almost 43 days also after my July 15, 2013 interview though I was not given the 221 g paper and the embassy retained my passport...then I called the embassy on August 28 to asked the reason...the lady who answered my call said that it will be issued the next day...it was issued August 29 then received my passport with K1 visa on Sept. 4, 2013.

....thus it pays to call the US embassy Manila and inquire the reason of the AP.
