I come here for a little help, an people act like I did something wrong, I put the wrong month by mistake. An know I'm a lier an fraud. I am 52 years old, an he is 61. Our relationship is a little different then others, to much to explain. But it is real, an we love each other.

I don't think people are calling you a liar...I think that they're just questioning you so they can better understand. If you let these questions frazzle you and you get your answers mixed up, then how will you handle an interview by someone who is paid to make you answer under pressure? I think your situation is a bit unique and some are just a bit perplexed by the complexity of it all. I'm also sure that they just want to be able to give you the best advice they can but they can't do that if they don't have a straight story. I know many people have made their own personal timelines in their signatures (myself included.) Maybe if you do this, then everyone can see your story/personal timeline and can better guide you. People make mistakes, Don't dwell on it or stress over it, it'll get you no where. We have an age gap as well. I'm 23 and he's 32. It doesn't make a difference, As long as you can prove you have a real relationship with eachother you'll be fine :)

Hi Everyone,

I just called to inquire about my case, and the tier 1 officer tells me that I can put in a service request after 23 days, mind you it has been 5 months and 15 days. And that they are still working on Dec.3 2013. I said wow thats been three weeks already. So I am waiting for a call back from a tier 2 officer. They will probably tell me the same thing. They should just say it take 6 months.

I am going to send today to my congressman and senator and maybe it will or won't help but at least I tried to do something.

If anyone can send me a copy or format of how they wrote their letter please inbox me it. Thanks,

Hi guys,

Well the 2nd Tier officer called me back, he said typically these cases take 6 to 7 months tops. To try and be patient and let them process the test.

I told him its frustrating when others who in jan 2014 or feb and even march have gotten approved. I asked him about why is that, he say sit depends on the work load of each officer, what they have.

I'm sending an email anyway to the senator. They might get the same answer but at least I tried. So then after July 8 i can send a service request? incredible that would be almost 7 months then. And then probably 2 and a half more months through, NVC, the consulate and an interview.

They should just really say 6 months to 7 months.

The Website should just state 6 to 7 months. and then 21/2 to 3 months between the nvc, the consulate and and interview. almost 9 months max.

if you look at it that way. I hope and pray we hear something by the end of this month.

A text and email just came through about 2 minutes ago, notifying me that there was an update on my case. I went to the USCIS website and sure enough, our petition was approved! It is 2 days short of 6 months for me. I still can't believe it finally came through!
