This sucksss!Having to wait...I"m going to be honest here...I have been patient from the beginning but now im not. Checking IGORS LIST and having to actually see that some late september filers are NOW getting approved and that they have waited more than the 4-5 months avg waiting period. I know that we are whining too much about it, and as i read here numerous times, it is unfair for March and February filers getting aproved so quickly! I, and i know that many of you, are feeling frustrated having to be far from our loved ones. I know my words dont mean much but hey!! Lets look at it on the brightside, we are far now ...many of us are on our 4th month...If we waited thing long, 2 more months couldnt hurt. Right? Actually it can, lmao...let just "TRY" to be patient. Btw, I am actually starting to hate the word.

I feel you...I'm in the same boat.

I know how you feel December filer here to, called USICS today an same old sh*t. They said if I don't hear anything after the 19th of May, call an they will put in a service request.

I called today as well and spoke to a 2T officer. She apologized profusely to me for the "misinformation" I was given last time. Last time they told me no one had been assigned to my case and it was just sitting in a long queue. This time she told me that wasn't true, I do have a case officer and this person is working on my case. She also said within 2 weeks I'll have a written update to my case (whatever this means, I'm not sure.) She also said they have been asking the cust service people to adjust the '5 month' estimate because they are taking longer than that (not true for everyone, we all know this!) but she said that they are working on November 16th filers at this moment (whether thats my particular agent or not, I dont know) all i know is she said once you have an agent they are typically allowed 33 days to make a decision or take action on your case but they don't "have" to abide by that. It's just a "suggestion" it could take 20 days or it could take 40 +. I'm going to wait the 2 weeks to receive my written update before I buy my tickets for July. All we can do is wait. :ranting:

See I'd also wish to speak to whom ever i need to speak about an update to our case, but my fiance doesnt feel the same way, because he is scared that by doing that, it can actually affect us instead and i think that he is about right. Some do get lucky but WE(AS IN ALL OF US) on the other hand, are just those that actually do have to wait for the 5 MONTHS and as i read here on the last post, That avg waiting period is not even 5 months. See we all knew from the beginning that from NOA1 to NOA2, would be 4-5months avg waiting but since all these filers have been approved in such a short amount of time, now we are ALL stressing about it and we'd wish for our case to speed it up like theirs. But, my fiance spoke to the attorney, and She said that, we needed to wait for the 5months and then she will proceed to do what she has to do. We even explained to her that the situation in Venezuela has worsen, but yet she still says ,It is better not to warn them or make them alert because maybe instead of them heping us, it will just affect us.

I'm really frustrated like the rest of the Dec filers still waiting on NOA2. I wrote to my senator and emailed them and called them several times. They apparently only have one person who does the USCIS inquiries and she's on vacation...I sent this letter like a month ago and still nothing from the Senators office. I'm getting really really anxious and it's difficult not knowing if I should but tickets to go out there in July or not. I said this to USCIS and they said "if he gets approved in the mean time, he can just return home with you" but why waste the money to go out there if he can come here? Morocco is far, and in July during Ramadan and to be there during EID is like ridiculously expensive and I'm traveling with my son ... so it's two of us. Also, if he did get approved before July, I'd want to get married in July so we can have a summer wedding. This is ridiculous. I'm thinking of calling and just asking for a 2T officer to see what is going on... 5 months is right around the corner. Any thoughts? Quite honestly, I work in local government and my boss is running for Governor, I wanted to keep my personal life out of my political life but quite frankly, I am thinking of just asking him for help!

The Senators office is not going to do anything until your official 5 months is up. I just recently contacted both Texas State Senators and they both told me the same thing. They also cannot force the USCIS to approve your petition, only give them a nudge or find out where it is.

Try not to worry until 5 months from your filing date. TSC is running behind, a bunch of us November Filers had to wait a little over 5 months. You will get approved soon, try to just keep yourself busy and not worry about it if you can help it.

We were stressed and worried but looking back now I realize there is nothing to really be concerned about.

Good luck!

So I got this

"On May 6, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

Da fuq is that? NVC??? The wording under it says "For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State."

I'm confused, who am I supposted to be calling? and when? Bc I thought NOA2 meant it was already being sent to NVC

Sigh, nvm I think it's NVC either way but that wording of Dept OR NVC threw me off. I sympathize with you all, I want to toss all the fliers from Jan to April off a bridge, or rather the peon in the office that picked up their chart ahead of the ones from Oct, Nov, and Dec

Question for those further along, how are ya'll getting updates on your visa's status from NVC onwards? Is it still updating on the UCIS website?

Have you read the guides on here? Once it's gone through NVC it'll be forwarded to your consultate for you to complete the process.

No, not USCIS but CEAC. Link here:

Well, 4 months and 3 weeks today. Really looks like TSC is slowing down to 6 month approvals now though so I'm guessing we won't hear anything for another month or so :(

Well, 4 months and 3 weeks today. Really looks like TSC is slowing down to 6 month approvals now though so I'm guessing we won't hear anything for another month or so :(

Saturday, May 10 will be five months waiting on K1 without a peep from the USCIS. This is not a case of the TSC slowing down, it's a case of gross mismanagement, which is resulting in unfair treatment of thousands of applicants. Those who are lucky enough to have their applications processed at CSC are seeing approval times of under two months. Some even under one month.

Keep in mind these service centers are US Federal agencies, so they are all supposed to process petitions in the same manner. The discrepancy between the CSC and TSC can clearly be seen by looking at these charts from Igor's List:

California Service Center (May 7, 2014)

50l06x.jpg

Texas Service Center (May 7, 2014)

5xk4fd.jpg

Note that the TSC has processed barely 50% of the petitions for December compared to the CSC processing almost 50% petitions for the month of April! Yes, that's right. CSC is almost half done for the month of April.

Do not be afraid to contact your Congressman or Senator, and also the Ombudsman of immigration to let them know that you are aware of this unfair treatment and find it unacceptable. If nothing is said, they will just continue.

I can hear what you're sayng - I was just trying to point out that the end result is that TSC is slowing down in terms of their approvals.

What's skewing the figures is all the expedited petitions from the Phillipines. Whilst TSC continues to process these so quickly it will always be able to claim that it's hitting the 5 month target... :(

The expediting of petitions is another unfair issue, but it's not the reason for the obvious discrepancy in processing times between the CSC and the TSC. Check the timelines of the 15 most recent approvals at the CSC and you'll see a statistically even dispersal of countries of origin. In other words there is not a large number of petitions from the PI that are being approved that displace other petitions.

CSC is just processing at least five-times more efficiently than the TSC right now. Something is going on behind the scenes by the US government and the net result is unfair treatment and processing at the TSC.

Actually, those charts aren't even close to being right. You have to factor the amount of people in that say they were from the TSC and were transfered to CSC when in fact they were actually not transferred and had just sent their apps to the Lewisville, TX lockbox and then were sent to the appropriate center from there. Igor's List doesn't differentiate when you pull up the stats, you have to know they transferred so I doubt the charts do. Just a thought!

My suggestion to those waiting and frustrated that CSC is light Years faster than TSC currently. Just stop worrying and reading the forums every day, do not look at the charts and try to figure anything out.

You will get approved, I promise, it just might take longer than some others if you are at TSC. Unfortunately it is just the way things are. I waited over 5 months along with many others for our NOA2. Us November filers waited while people from April were getting approvals.

Worrying and reading the forums is not going to help you. Wait until your 5 months is up and if you are still not approved by then, contact your 2 State Senators and put your own service request in. Everything will fall into place in time, I promise!
