I know I wish I would have waited until after my NOA2 to book my flight. ... more than likely I won't be able to make the interview...... I'm debating if I should pay the change fee and the fare difference which will be about $1500 or just let him go to the interview alone.... maybe I'll post it to the forum to get feed back. Anyone opinions?

The interview is very simple, just questions about how you meet, and how the relationship developed.

I know we get nervous, but he will be fine.

I used to go to the gym but i had issues with my mother and i had to stop. So no now im home all day i have nothing to do!!!!

Can you not look for part time work? If you can't, there are plenty of hobbies. Scrapbooking (as suggested by the other poster) is a great idea.

I crochet, sew, cook and bake. In fact, I started (unintentionally) a little business with my cakes. I made a cake for a coworker, now everyone wants to buy cakes. I cook all the time, friends often call me and ask when they can come over for dinner. I'm 27 and never in my life spent more than an hour in a kitchen at any one time...then I started watching YouTube videos and reading blogs and just trial and error and discovered "wow this is so easy" then it was "this is so good! why have i never done this before?!" and it's nice.

I was short on cash, so I picked up crocheting. I spent maybe $15 on hooks and yarn, and started watching videos online (mooglyblog.com is a great site) and started making gifts for my hubby and my family and now friends. I work, I've always worked so I'm out from 8:30-4:30 but when I was home I had nothing and was very bored so it resulted in me demanding my fiancees constant undivided attention which isn't good. So I picked up these things and now when he's out and can't talk, I keep myself busy with crocheting, cooking, whatever.

From what I understand you are home often, and these are all fun things you can do at home for very little money.

Well not really! I cant do anything! I live in my mother s place since I'm back in my country. Before i had my own house i was living by myself to the family house from my father s house. But after i came back they kicked me out since i got engaged with a black guy.

So now i live to my mother s that we never really had a good relation and even with her husband!! I have no other place to live so i must stay here.

I left my job to visit my fiance and since i came back im not able to find anything even as part time cause of the crisis on my country! And except that im sooooo far away from everything.

I just want this nightmare to be over. Me and my fiance didnt expect this process to take so long and i didnt expect i would have such a hard time live back with my mother.

And i really cant do anything. My fiance sent me to the gym and after a while my mother was asking me to give her money when at the time she was spending all her money for shopping. And she told me that the money i spend for the gym i should give those to her. So hell no!!! My fiance works really hard for those money. I'm not giving a penny.

Hi,I receive this from USCIS

On April 11, 2014, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location.

How long I can wait to get decision ?

Salwa, my dear, you are always asking this question :P Please understand that its well established that USCIS can go as fast or take as long as they want with no rhyme or reason for it. Some people are finished with visa in hand within 3 months where as others it can take up to a year.

Look at it this way, you have someone assigned to your case who is now going to render a decision, thats more than what a lot of us here have. NO ONE has even *touched* my case yet...a level 2 officer told me that it's in a queue. My understanding is, once you get the RFE and they receive your response, it's relatively quick because you're already assigned someone. They'll look at your evidence and render a decision. I can't imagine it will take more than a month, but once again, there are never any time guarantees with USCIS.

Unfortunately none of us can give you a definitive answer. That being said, I think most of us would agree that you'll have a decision relatively quickly.

Woo hoo!!! My petition was assigned a case number!!! I was told that the petition would be forwarded to the Accra embassy in a couple of days unless the petition is put through AP. The rep told me to check back in the middle of the week.
