Actually they don't have an order of approvals by who sent it first. I saw a bunch of people that sent the petition after me getting their approval first.

Good luck

Truth. We filed in September and still waiting for the NOA2...you can imagine how disheartening to see filers from the NEW YEAR receiving approvals left and right cray5ol.gif No rhyme or reason to this process as far as I can tell...

Hang in there, those of you who are also still suffering in this awful limbo.

You should have definitely received your noa2 by now. Are there any action that can be taken (I'm sure you've taken some) to find out what the hold up is?

nina.mb: Does it still say 'initial review' on the case status website? https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do if it does, you need to call USCIS.

Also - to everyone else - I see people saying to contact congressmen...does that actually work???? I'm only at a little over 2 months waiting on my NOA2, but I have a few political connections.I didnt even think to ever ask a politician for help regarding immigration. Does anyone have experience with it?

Hi all -

Yes, after 6 months of waiting, we've got the full court press on...inquiry in with the CIS Ombudsman's Office and Senator's Constituent Services Office has been in touch with USCIS.

Latest word is that our file finally made it back to USCIS after FOUR MONTHS of background checks (!!) - since we both have clean records and no previous marriages, we can only assume that it was the combination of his nationality (Moroccan - Arab, high fraud reputation, etc.) and my work (humanitarian relief) that takes me often to the Middle East.

The Senator's rep said that the case should be assigned "soon" and then they have a 30-45 day window to render a decision. I understand the 30 days - review takes time to go over the details, etc. - but the "soon" makes me uneasy. At this point, both my fiancé and I are scrambling to make the necessary adjustments with work and school to accommodate the delays, but "soon" makes it hard to estimate.

Any brilliant ideas out there of ways to either 1) respectfully request that the rep press USCIS harder for immediate case assignment 2) apply pressure from another angle??

Thankful for any suggestions that might help us keep our file from getting tossed back into the pile with Feb/March filers!!! Not looking for special treatment, but it really is our turn now mad.gif

I think that you should post this in the general K-1 forum. Maybe other people may have had experience with this. Best wishes :-)

I would love to know where the law is that gives Philippines special immigration processing. I know that the Visa Bulletin has special columns for India, Mexico, and Philippines, they CLAIM because of immigration caps ... but that really doesn't explain why we see so many K-1(s) here on VJ from the Philippines getting fast-tracked.

6/8 of the NOA2(s) this month out of TSC have been from the Philippines ... with an average wait time for those 6 of just 27.5 days ... its hard to believe that special treatment doesn't exist while the rest of us have to wait 4 to 5 months. I'm not complaining about the special treatment. We all know involuntary governance is NEVER equal in their treatment of the law. This is GREAT if you are from the Philippines ... I'm not knocking you ... I'm envious. But seriously though ... there MUST be a law regarding this somewhere.

Yes, it's frustrating. While I was waiting for my noa2, I saw so many fast approvals for the Philippines, I saw approvals within 21 days.. They said it was for humanitarian reasons, they had that tsunami. But it's frustrating anyway

The Philippines had a typhoon not a tsunami. It is said to be the strongest typhoon in world history. Eitherway, not everyone gets auto expedited. only those who are in the typhoon stricken areas.

no its jus our mindset tht person shud call them after 10 days or so but i started calling them ryt away after 2 days from my noa2 date and i was calling them daily and finally after 10 days from noa2 they gave me tht lucky case number. whether u call them or not it is not going to affect you or your case in any way... so yea start calling and u might get lucky within a day or 2. best of luck
