FINALLY GOT AN UPDATE!

NOA1 was December 16, TSC. No transfers. NOA2 (or e-mail that they were sending it forward, anyway) was today, 2/19, at about 9 p.m. EST.

Thank God we got through without any RFEs or anything. We're a same-sex couple with transgender complications added to the mix, in a non-equality state, so we're lucky that everything got through the first time. Thanks to everyone here that told us to send in a copy of the laws in the state we were getting married in, instead of just specifying an equal marriage state and assumed they knew.

Best wishes and sympathies for everyone who hasn't gotten one yet.

wait for a few days and call your embassy if they've received it already. When did you get yours? Hoping to get mine today! We called yesterday but the girl said it's not yet in their system :(

I'm so glad that some of us are going through the same things at the same time here. It's very helpful. The questions that others are asking help quite a few of us here. THANK YOU!

I'm in the process of tracking our package that left the NVC a few days ago heading to the embassy already.

Does anyone know if you don't email/call the embassy as soon as they receive it how long it takes to actually hear from them or receive their packet of information in the mail?

Hi Ean,

To track your package from the NVC to the Embassy you would go onto www.dhl-usa.com, click on "Track by Shipper's Reference" that is on the left side of the screen. Enter in EXP [day that it was sent] [three letter month abbreviation that it was sent] then 2014A. For example EXP 10 FEB 2014A.

You can get an idea of when it was sent if you were tracking it on the CEAC website and it said "In Transit". I would try the day before or the day after it updated to "In Transit".

It's really neat how we can track these things. Most take less than a week to arrive at the Embassy that they are going to. It will at least help in knowing how quickly you need to start getting your Affidavit of Support to the Beneficiary and stuff.

Hope it helps out!

How do you track it once it leaves nvc?
