I finally got a case number from the NVC...woooohoooo! I guess everyone on here was right, you just have to keep calling and calling and calling until they finally assign you one.

Anyways, in regards to the USPS mail I've been noticing that things that normally take a week to get to Peru are now taking up to three weeks being sent regular mail. I'm wondering if it's because of all the bad weather that has been taking place all over the U.S.? That could be slowing down the mail I would think. So, if you're expecting that Valentine's Day card and it doesn't show up today don't worry it will show up someday! biggrin.png

That's great news, congrats!! !

I sent them a email but they never answered..so I guess it's better to call.

1kiki, you wrote this on February 11th, then I see your timeline says you got your NOA2 on January 31st. So did you find that out by calling them? There was nothing about it on their website as of February 11th?

I got their number because I emailed them, and they have an automatic reply with their phone number. I called them but they said they don't have my papers yet. So I don't have my case number yet and it's been 2weeks.

I am anxiously waiting for mine, too, and keep checking the USCIS site 2-3 times a day, to the point that my fiancee (beneficiary) tells me to not pay any mind to it. I think I'll listen to her :)

I go back and forth with all of you where its one week of stalking the forums and the USCIS website, then a week of :( dude what the hell. I feel so jealous for those that have gotten approvals in Jan and even Feb!! I know all us TSC filers are right in there with the Nov batch and there's like 6 there waiting.....but really its like /facepalm so and so posts that yay I beat a new record of NOA2! I wish there was more transparency with the visa process. Like ok you're in the intitial review, does that mean we're still waiting on background checks or something to come in?? Do you feel there's an issue and that RFE is just waiting to be mailed? Where am I in a pile? Maybe if there was just a check off list of ok background check is in or pending yada yada.

I knew it was foolish to get my hopes up after seeing that flood of NOA2 approvals when I filed in Nov, but I'd like to be able to plan things ya know. He needs to know how much longer he has with his daughter there (she's staying with her mum and we'll get visits). He also needs to know how much longer he needs to expect to be working there and living there. We planned for the 5mths, so it'd be April/May, bbbbbbbbuuttt then again there's the dozen later fliers who will have their beloveds home way before then. Sorry for the semi rant, I'm just frustrated with the utter lack of control here

i know its frustrating, but TSC is very slow on their approvals. But on the other hand..when u get ur approval they will forward this very quick to NVC.

Try to keep calm, i know its hard, i was very anxious before i got my noa2, now im nervous because im trying to get my case number.

Unfortunatelly they never say anything before the '5 months' of waiting for noa2

This process is very hard for us, keep positive. It will come.

Wow.. No idea how I stumbled upon this forum but I love it.. and it made me feel a lot less alone.

I need to stop checking the dang USCIS Case Status site everyday.. lol

I know a watched pot never boils.. but ya know.. when you know you are going to be leaving.. you can't help but kind of check out of your current routines somewhat because they all of a sudden look so temporary.. Plus being so excited!

I filed the first week of December.. and we were away a lot over the holidays.. so I wasn't sure of the exact date the NOA1 was received because it was probably sitting in the mail box for a few days before we actually saw it.

I was hoping February would be "our month" based on what I was seeing from other peoples approvals etc.. but yeesh.. I'm starting to think it might not be.

Come onnnnn NOA2.

Feb 2013- Met Online- started chatting.secret7vf.gif

March 2013- Met in person..started dating.heart.gifrose.gif

December 5th,2013- Filed 129Freading.gif

December 19th- Alien number change.dancin5hr.gif

December 20th (approx)- Received NOA1idea9dv.gif

Have since been ANXIOUSLY awaitting ANY kind of change.. or news. :clock:

NOTTA...for 6 months... Grrr (almost lost my mind) :ranting:

JUNE 16TH 2014- NOA2 APPROVED- YAYYYYYYYY :D

JULY 1ST 2014- NVC RECEIVED OUR CASE! B-)

AUGUST 5TH 2014- MEDICAL :innocent:

AUGUST 20TH 2014- INTERVIEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

AUGUST 20th 2014- APPROVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!! :energy:

Ugh, what's really demoralising (and I know I need to take my own advice on this before anyone jumps on me...) is seeing people from the UK filing like a month after us, already receiving their NOA2. I KNOW it's only been 2 months and I KNOW it should take 5 but still... grrr.
