Enter your NVC case number under "IMMIGRANT" and "Check my visa application status" https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

Just track your case everyday until you know it ships out and it arrived to the U.S consulate/Embassy in India. But, start contacting your Embassy for an Interview date.

No, that's incorrect. I tracked mine from NVC to Sydney before an interview date.
