Yeah, they've been saying that for several weeks already. I think they were telling people November 16th for like 3 months. How annoying is that?

Hi Everyone,

Today I received NOA2 in mail. What really weird about this letter is that "The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate" The application goes to NVC not consulate.

I have seen sample of other NOA2s and they mentioned it that letter that the application will go to NVC and from NVC it will be forwarded to the consulate mentioned in the application.

I was approved on July 2nd and the status haven't changed from Approved to sent to NVC yet.

I look forward your feedback on it.

Thanks,

MB

Mine also says forwarded to the listed consulate. Being a holiday weekend, your case will probably be on its way to NVC today or perhaps in a couple of days. When that happens, you'll see the status change on USCIS website.

Everything at TSC is weird. My case went straight to post-decision it has been forwarded to NVC. Never once did I receive an NOA2 notification neither electronically nor paper (still waiting on this.) I only knew my case was approved when I called the day after my case officer told me on the phone she was making a decision.

The consulate in Casablanca, Morocco requires a copy of the approval notice, which I don't have because TSC is taking their time with my service request. I just sent a copy of the letter that NVC sent me which says "We sent this approved I-129F petition to the consulate in Casablanca..." I also wrote a note to the CO explaining why my fiancé won't have a hard copy of NOA2.

Hope everything goes well.

Yeah, same here. It looks like they totally skipped over the NOA2! And sent it direct to NVC. This is the message we got on ours:

"On July 3, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

I don't know yet if we'll get an NOA2 in the mail - too soon for that. But it was never reflected on the website.

I don't have any experience in the whole AOS thing but I don't know how it is going to work if you don't have a hardcopy of the NOA2.

this isn't for AOS, it is required for the interview for a K1. I have to fill out an I-824 so another copy can be mailed. Unfortunately it will take at least 30 days...most likely more and his interview is in 7 days.

Oh, I know, but you will also need a hardcopy of NOA2 when you submit the AOS. My consulate does not need a copy of NOA2 but some others do, apparently.

Hey Wow! That's AWESOME awesome!! Finally you're getting some news!!

And don't worry - I have a feeling it's going to go very fast now. I've seen other people get answers that sounded a little sketchy, but then suddenly they're approved a few days later! In fact, when DRBound got his first response from his congressman I told him it just sounded like they're giving you a stock answer - and they don't plan to do anything faster. And a few days later he was approved!!

Check the website late tonight. They usually update it pretty late because they have contract workers who come in and pick up all the processed petitions and then work during the night to update the website for them all.

Glad to hear you received some good news.

Just to update y'all, I called the NVC yesterday as it has been a month today since my NOA2. I was told on this call that the reason they had not yet received my file, and the reason it will likely be delayed another 2-3 weeks, is because our star service center decided to send a whole batch of approved petitions to california instead of the NVC in Portsmouth, NH!

Great... so my 4-5 weeks started the 30th, maybe! We will get there someday!
