by the way thanks Jewels for the response and for wishing me the best. I appreciate it. @Alicia, thank you! I believe we are all affected by the way USCIS is approving our petitions especially Texas service center! I believe November filers should be approved before us, they truly deserved it because they filed first and obviously have been waiting longer. I don't mind waiting but 3 months is a lot and watching new filers getting approved before us is a pain in the bum. Especially since my fiance and I met and started dating since i was 13 years old (8th grade) back in middle school. It's a bonafide relationship while others are creating threads about how to get a divorce etc.. it hurts.

ty so much, when i visited my fiance last year, we tried to get married, but they require a 30 day waiting period, similar to our 3 day waiting period here, and i couldnt stay that long. i would have lost my job, so i had to return before we were to be allowed to marry in india. the consular officer had no idea what the indian marriage laws are apparently, and insisted that we were married after all and that i had to apply for a cr-1 for spouses instead. the proof was in my i-29f, passport dates i was in india, everything needed to prove that i wasn't there long enough to marry, and i had added an addendum to explain the situation, and yet still he insisted, and so denied us. i cntacted my senators for help and now they are trying to change the reason since i could prove that they were wrong in their decision, and now say that they doubt that we are a real couple, even though i sent all of the proof of our relationship for the past few years.... it is a big mess, and we are trapped, unable to file a cr-1 because we are not legally married, and yet if we file another k-1, which would be sooo unfair, and wait another 6-8 months, it will just be denied again by that consulate.... we are an interracial couple, a no-no for mumbai, and they were attacking him verbally throughout to find a reason they could use to deny us, finally insisting that we were already married no matter what the evidence showed... still fighting to get our right to marry, we love each other too much to just give up, but losing hope... but i will keep fighting from here and he is doing what he can from there....time is passing and our app may expire if it hasn't already, we are stuck in a catch-22 situation... :clock::clock::cry::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Wow. That's really depressing. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. It's crazy that they can treat you like this. I wish you the very best... wish there was something I could do to help!

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone waiting on the decision from TSC?

The USCIS received my case on December 10th - since then I am waiting for them to provide a decision. I submitted a Service Request and recently I received an email stating that I am going through some security checks and they wont make any decision until they get updates, they said they are not sure abou the time frame on security checks?

Did anyone ever heard or experienced this with their case? I would appreciate all your responses.

Thanks in adavnce!

I'm really surprised they let you file a service request. Every time I try they say they're only allowing service requests for applications filed before December 3rd. (they told me that again today too).

YOU&ME: Yes, I believe you can get a retired sponsor but better yet to inform yourself check this thread:

As it states there, your retired sponsor should of have filed taxes for the last 3 years to qualify.

Hi Everyone,

I have an exciting news to share with you all.

My I-129F petition was approved last night. I mailed the I-129F documents on December 6th and finally after such a long wait I received an approval. Some of the December filers are still in the same situation I was but I have a strong feeling that it will all work out for all you guys very soon.

I would appreciate if you guys can answer some of the questions mentioned below:

Question 1 - NVC: Once the document has been sent to NVC should I expect an email from them informing me about the tracking of my file to the beneficiary consulate or should I give them a call to get the tracking number? What website should I go to check on the tracking number?

Question 2 - Packet 3: What is packet 3, who is going to receive it, who is it going to receive it petitioner/beneficiary and is it going to be mailed or emailed?

Question 3 - packet 4: What is packet 4?

I tried looking it up on the forum but was not able to find a topic on these.

I wish you all good luck with your case. If there is any more details anyone of you need please let me know. Thanks

1) Your status on USCIS will update to "Sent to Dept of State National Visa Processing" something like this. After 2 weeks from the USCIS update, start calling (I suggest at exactly 7am EST or after 1030pm EST) to get your case number. If you don't call, you'll have to wait for a letter, which in my case, took about 3 1/2 weeks from the date they received my papers. Once you have the case number you can track it on the CEAC website. ceac.state.gov - check your case status (Immigrant Visa.) It'll say Received for some time until they actually do something with it. Then it will update to "In Transit" which means they sent it to your consulate, then when it's at the consulate and they receive it, the status will change to "Ready." The letter I received from NVC a week ago said my fiance had to fill out a DS-160 so we did. I'd go to the consulate's website and see what they say - for Casablanca, the information was all there on what to do.

2) Packet 3 is sent by the consulate to your fiance. In Casablanca, it was sent via email along with an appointment letter. My understanding is that other consulates do it by mail and you have to send it back to them before issuing an interview date; I'd go to the portal of your country and ask there or again, look at the consulate's website, or feel free to email or call the consulate to find out.

3) I THINK packet 4 is when you are approved and you're given that to bring on the plane with you sealed and give to the officer at the POE. Someone should verify this though as I am not sure.

Thank you everyone.

Thank you Noura_914 for detailed explanation.

The USICS Post Activity Decision states - On July 2, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

Do you think it will now take change to "Sent to NVC" or should I call NVC 2 weeks from June 2nd?

Thanks,

MB

Congrats, MB1!

In a few days, usually 3 to 5 days, the website will update to "Sent to NVC", and you'll get a text/email if you sign up for the alert. I would suggest calling 2 weeks after that date, not the July 2 date.

Well guys just, so you know, today I received a text and email concerning my case. They are know requesting more information. So an RFE. Put on hold until I send the info. So I await the letter sent out to me today, to see what they are requesting. Question, does anyone know how long it can take after they receive what they need for an approval? Its, sad that after 6 months they want an RFE.

Yon jork: I did what DrBound told me to do. File for an E-service request with a date that's not your actual date. I filled it out with a November 4th date lol and my service request has been answered 2 days later. You should do that.

I'm scared to do that! After you got that response from them saying you might have to wait 90 more days - that spooked me!

A few days ago I posted a link to a page on vj where a former adjudicator had answered a bunch of questions. He told us that when they get congressional inquiries they really jump and respond fast.

So, three weeks ago I asked my congressman's office to make an inquiry. They did and three weeks later (yesterday), still nothing. So I called the congressman's office yesterday and talked to the person I had met in person the first time around. He said he was going to send an inquiry to ask why they haven't gotten back to him and he asked me to call him again today.

The former USCIS adjudicator said that they're required by law to answer congressional inquiries within 2 days. So I was getting pretty mad after three weeks that we hadn't heard anything.

I called the congressional liaison back today and you know what he told me? He told me he sent the inquiry to the WRONG OFFICE!!! Stupid idiot guy! He sent it to the USCIS field office in Newark!! (near where I live). He said the Newark office responded yesterday and said they hadn't gotten any information for him because he should have sent it to the TEXAS SERVICE CENTER!!!

Boy, was I ever steamed about that. The congressional guy screwed up! I'm so sick of these GOVERNMENT people. Even the ones who have the most incentive to help you out can't even be bothered to do their jobs right.

Anyway, I'm telling you all this in case you submitted a congressional inquiry as well and it has taken more time than you thought it should. If it is, get on them and make sure they sent it and make sure they sent it to the right place!
