Hello!

I received my NOA2 on November 14, 2013 and I'm waiting for the NVC receives all my documents and send them to my embassy (Naples, Italy).

The thing is I'm not italian (I'm from Colombia), but I've a permanet italian Visa (in italian "permesso di soggiorno a tempo indeterminato").

Since it now I would like start arranging all the documents requiring from the embassy, I would like to know, if any of you know if there are documents I should to do because i'm not an Italian citizen. what about "Police Certificates"?

Do you just have a permisso or do you have Carta Di identita also? Either way, you will need police clearance for Italy since you reside there...

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

Hi.. I'm filipino and living in italy too..

You just need the 2 POLICE clearance certificate from TRIBUNALE: (called) Certificato generale dei casselario guidiziale & CERTIFICATO DEI CARICHI PENDENTI.

Your Birth ceftificate from colombia (Translate in english)

(if you need ) your police clearance from colombia (translate in english.)

Christeen, I have also Italian Identity card (Carta d'identità) not valid for expatriation (non valida per l'espatrio) because i'm living in Italy for 14 years so I have all Italians docs (I have also an application for citizenship).

Jp_clariz, thank you so much for your help. I read (and I hope to have understood) that you need a colombian police clearance, only if you have lived up to 16 years old; but I was only 13 when I arrived in Italy, so I think I need the 2 Police clearance for the italian "tribunale" as you said.

Yes, everybody need it even tho italian or not italian Citizen, As i've understand.. The (certificato ministero giudiziale) is proof that you have residence here in Italy. The (carichi pendenti) is proof that you didnt have anything record to crime here in italy.
