Since August my petition is sitting in Newark. I have zero days I can take off work for an infopass and I want to scream from the frustration because in all my days off in December NONE are available for appt. I mean seriously??? A year almost and I havent heard a darn thing? Are there any other January filers still waiting for their Godforsaken notice of action/approval????

Are you sure it's actually *in* Newark? Just wondering. You are outside of regular processing times and can call the regular number, escalate to a Tier 2, and ask them to open a service request. And ask them exactly where your case is and what is happening with it.

Mari, when I didn't hear anything for a while, I filed an e request: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Case.do

You can certainly do that since you're way out of the time frame. They will get back to you in 30 days.

Also, call the 800 number that came on your NOA1 and talk to someone, too. But definitely do the e request

NOA1 received: July 30, 2013

Transferred: Jan 22, 2014 (time from NOA1 to Transfer: 5 months 3 weeks 2 days)

Touched: Jan 24, 2014 at 6:35 PM

Alien reg. # changed: Jan 27, 2014 at 10:50 PM

Filed for expedite: Feb 5, 2014

Hi thanks all - I am calling today. I had called a month ago and they sent an "inquiry" to the local field office because it had been moved from NBC, thus I received a letter from the Newark local field office saying the case is pending adjudication and that no further information was available. I am picking up the phone now and making calls. Thank you for the very helpful advice.

Actually USCIS sent an e-request and the letter I got was in September stating the case is pending adjudication and that they are unable to provide me with a completion date at that time.... well its been three months since that date. -_- I really hope I can get some answers today this is heartbreaking.
