I have a few questions about the I-864. My mom is the joint sponsor, is self-employed (so no W2s), and files taxes jointly with my stepfather.

1. Part 6, Question 5: For current individual annual income, she used her gross business income. Do you think that's okay? That's the amount we used on the I-134 when she sponsored my husband for the fiance visa.

2. Part 6, Questions 13a-13c: This is the tricky part. Her total income (line 22 of the 1040) and adjusted gross income (line 37) are both combined with my stepfather's, so they're obviously much higher than her current individual income. We were thinking of using line 31 on her Schedule C (net profit), but that number is much lower and doesn't even meet the poverty standards thanks to all the expenses they took out. Maybe gross income on the Schedule C?

Thanks so much!
