CEAC Status Stuck On Ready After Approval

We were in "ready" for 9 days, AP for 1, then issued. It took an additional 3 days to get the visa at DHL (we opted to pick-up, not deliver). At the time it was HORRIBLE waiting but in retrospect, not too bad. I'm waiting right now for my fiance; he'll be "delivered" around midnight. :) I'm sooo excited!

I hope ya'll get it by this weekend and my thoughts and prayers to anyone stuck in the wasteland of Administrative Processing.

BethAnn, I hope it changes soon so that you do not have to make the 2nd trip to travel with your spouse. After our interview on Oct. 25, it changed to ready later in the day and then Oct. 28 status changed to issue. He received his passport back with his visa on Oct. 30th. CO had told him he would have it in 10 days and it took less than 10 days. I am praying that something happens today...Best of luck

Thanks so much for this. I am obsessively calling DOS and checking the CEAC site. It was updated again this morning but still says Ready. DOS says we are in AP but that its normal and everyone goes through it after the interview. One guy says they are just finishing up with processing and another guy says its going to be a while before its issued so I have no idea what to believe at this point. My husband and I decided that he will fly on his own to JFK when he gets the visa and I will pick him up there. Too bad we won't be able to travel together but it is what it is.

I was stuck with the same status before, Ready was the longest status I got for about 2 weeks I think. But calling them is better than just wait for it. Anyway' ready'sounds better than 'administrative processing.' I hope you'll get your visa soon. Sad you' ll be flying back alone, but oh well .. Love is sometimes painful. Try to email the embassy maybe, it works for me, I always got an update in my mail, being pushy sometimes gets you to the next level. Good luck ! And travel safe. Hope you'll be together this holidays..

Our case went back to AP today. It's a big disappointment.

Not really because ours was on ready and went to A. P DEC 1, AND VISA WAS ISSUE DEC,2 call dos this eve because on Dec 2 in the morning the ceac Web was showing A P, so i call dos and the lady told me her system show it was issued, but it wasn't issued out yet because it was waiting to be printed and stamped, and later on that day ceac Web change to issue, good luck

With us she did her medical then her interview on Nov 26th. It has been on "Ready" ever since. I called DOS and they told me that it was in AP. I check the CEAC site 3-4 times/day. Every now and then (Tues and Fridays) the date gets updated with the *next* day's date. Which tells me that it is the Embassy opening up the file and checking to see if the DOS is done and issued the "Approved". But the CEAC site only has said "Ready", not "Administrative Processing" or anything like that.

Just have to wait and see. But yes, the waiting is crazy. Would be a lot better if it did say AP, and they had stages or something. At least then you would SEE progress of some kind.

Hey Guys,

So at my husband's interview on November 26th in Kingston Jamaica the CO told us the visa would be ready in a week. Well its now a week and our status is still stuck on Ready. It's been updated 3 times since the interview and the latest update is this morning. I am still here in Jamaica but I have to fly back to the states on Saturday with or without my husband. So what are my chances of getting this visa by Saturday? I'm a little upset because I thought we would be able to fly back together and now I have to come back and get him. When I call DOS they tell me different stories- one person tells me we are in AP and another tells me the only notes they have are from the interview. So not sure I know anything at this point.

Just a little frustrated. I thought it was over and now we are still having to wait and wonder. Sorry but just needed to vent.

Love to you all,

BethAnn

Okay get ready Florida4life got there's issued today.

Congratulations!

Just got off the phone with them here. Was told by DOS that it is in Administrative Processing in Manila. At which point I had to slowly count to ten. Because it is actually in Administrative Processing with DOS, but they are playing the blame game like some silly 8 year olds. I thanked her and hung up.

Guess you can add Ceac/DOS to *that* list. You know, the list of people you really do not want to annoy or make angry: People cooking your food, surgeon about to operate on you, etc. ;)
