DOCUMENT LOST AT NVC OFFICE

Please can anyone share is or her experience with me about the civil documents? I submitted my wife and children's birth certificate to the NVC but I was surprised when she was scheduled for interview and was asked to bring her original birth certificate to the venue. I am confused because of what to do, I sent series of emails to the NVC about the missing document, all they could reply is that the case has been completed waiting for interview. Please I need help before the interview date.

I know that we got a generic "bring originals" email.

If you've submitted the originals to NVC then you don't have it anymore and the embassy will have it.

You should have copies at the interview. Only fret about originals if NVC specifically tells you that your package is lost.

It doesn't mean its lost. Just go to the NPC and get anoter certified copy just in case for interview so you are prepared.

You may be reading the interview form the same way my husband did it says if you submitted "COPIES" of the documents then you must bring the originals with you to the interview. That is only if you submitted copies. If you submitted the originals you are okay I posted a simular question then realized what the form was actually saying.

I guess my whole case paper is lost coz after my case is approved on Nov 1, I havent heard anything from NVC.....

So what have you done? Have you called and verify where you case is the status? What have you submitted so far to NVC>
