Quick questions I received my green card 2 weeks ago now I will be changing my address and will file divorce is that going to be a problem? Please help. Thank you.

Divorce 2 weeks after GC received? You will have to prove to them that you did not get married just to circumvent immigration rules.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Are you removing conditions on your GC, or are you adjusting your status? Just asking because in your information it says "Adjustment of Status (pending)", but in your topic title you are talking about ROC. If you are doing AOS, I think divorce two weeks after having your AOS approved might be frowned at during your ROC.

As for the address change, you can do it online on the USCIS website. You will have to do it within ten days of moving.

We will be filing the divorce after all the holidays. I have entered the marriage in good faith for sure and have all the proof. How about change of address? Thank you.


I got my 10 years green card in the mail. I'm sorry for the confusion our lease will end next month but my husband is cheating on me and wanted to move for a 3 bedroom and have his gf move in with him.

For USCIS purposes, you can change your address online here. You might also want to officially change your postal address so your future mail will be forwarded to your new address.https://moversguide.usps.com/icoa/home/icoa-main-flow.do?execution=e2s1&_flowId=icoa-main-flow&referral=MG80 . Both can be done online.
