I got through to a very nice customer service representative today. I called making inquiry about my case status. He agreed that my case is outside processing time and we should do a service request. He did a service request that will go to VSC to get an update on the current status of my case. I have advised those in the December category to keep calling until they can get a service request in. The more service requests, the better. They might just get on our cases faster. They are already working on January cases. We need to keep calling. He told me to wait an additional 10-15 days and then try doing a follow up with email send directly to VSC. I hope this help as an update for those of us waiting.

Hey, I will have to send an email too. What is the email address to send email directly to VSC?

You can make a service request by yourself also, it's called a e-request.

Here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

Same thing as what the customer representative does.

I tried that already once. I got a response for that in mail and all it says is -

"Our records show that your Form I-751 is currently pending adjudication. We regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date for your Form I-751. We apologize for the delay."

I thought may be there was some email address to send email instead of the service request.

You need to file a service request first. Customer service is better because u get the name of the CSR and a confirmation number that you can use to follow up when you dont get a response from the service request. The email for follow up which must include your service information through customer service and agent number is, VSC.NCSCFollowup@uscis.dhs.gov. Good luck. The wait continues....

You get the same thing with the e-request (minus the CSR name, for sure). The CSR does the exact same thing as what you can do by yourself online. :)

Just saying, because some CSR do not want to put a service request for you. Some are nice, but some are not. When I called a few weeks ago and asked if they could place a SR for me, she said "We don't offer that kind of service, you need to wait". Pretty frustrating.

I felt I had more power by doing it myself... Got a confirmation number and a reply by email within 5 days. Much better than when I called them.

I filed a service request online already and got a apology letter say that they could provide me with a completion date for my case. Should I still send them a follow up on the same service request? I kind of think yes, because they were unable to provide me with any information at that moment, and may be I should try later to see if they can then. Or, should I just file a new service request again? Just confused.

And just like you said - "The wait continues...."

When I see people here who filed earlier (November ...) still with no update at all. That frustrates even more and I can feel how much more it frustrate them. The people at the VSC must either be too messy or some are just sleeping.

I am thinking may be we all should file a public petition here - https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/, if somebody hasn't done so already which I am not aware of. It might not be helpful to us but may be eventually turn out to be helpful to others in the same situation down the road. I don't see any other option.

For example look at the following post from someone who filed in November -

escurel

Called and spoke to a representive. I guess Tier 1? Because he would not transfer me any higher. He said that they have 1 year per the original letter. Also said that they gave 6 months and I'm within that?! I said I'm at 8 months. He said "oh yeah well it can take longer sometimes, too'

He said per my previous service request, I was to wait 2 more months, until July 19. So I should wait until then. I said, okay, so what happens then? I submit another one? And he said yes.

So I know nothing. He did say that there are no RFEs on my account. And that if there were, it would show up on the online status -- is that even true? My impression is that many times it does not.

I am not sure where to go at this point. Sure, we have another 6 months to expiration, but should I really wait until my husband is illegal before I start getting frustrated. I know these things take time, but I just want answers why our application is taking way longer than anyone else's with nothing.

Here is another one -

VickyP

Does anybody have experience how far in advance they are scheduling interviews? Should I travel with my extension or will I have any problems? Leaving for Greece on the 13th and I am afraid that they send an interview appointment and I am going to miss it!!! Should I better get a stamp in my passport or is it ok with the letter?

Thank you so much in advance!

And I see a bunch people who filed in January has been approved already. Waiting because of RFE, ... could be understandable, but for no reason, that just sounds like the applications haven't even been touched.

@Intergalactic, the sentiment is the same over here. They make the impression that the process is 6months and straightforward. We have had no RFEs or anything. Why are we going to 7 months?

I got an early morning reply. The same generic reply you got.

The status of this service request is:

Recently, you or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration

Services (USCIS) concerning your Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence

(Form I-751), to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal

processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been

or may be resolved.

Our records show that your Form I-751 is currently pending adjudication. We

regret that we are unable to provide you with a completion date for your Form

I-751. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

At this point, maybe the november and december group need to start some kind of petition. It easy to cash our checks but it takes forever for someone to ever tell you something straight about your petition. This wait in the darkness just sucks....

You can start one and we will mobilize others to sign it. I am just too frsutrated about this process. Why do they have online 6 months when it is taking them forever to complete applications? It is a shame..

It has been quiet in here. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. Hopefully the coming week brings us some glad tidings..

Yup. It's dead quite in here... still in the darkness. :(

I saw one person from November group got an update for interview. I don't know whether we can take it as a sign of the slightest movement in the darkness, VSC is weird!

The interview is even a better option than sitting and waiting in the dark. For the interview, it is a sign of progress, that their case has been updated and about to be close. VSC where are thou? :protest:

It seems we are now the forgotten ones. VSC is far into January cases. Something has got to be done. The wait is very excruciating.

In some other forums, I have found some people who were waiting for more than 2 years for the adjudication. I am just hoping that we won't have to wait that long. This is nothing but crazy.
