Come on guys: Hossdelgado and MNyarai - your applications has been approved and on time too, so I think you guys should at least be thankful and not being the way you are, whinning. I feel for Hossdelgado who may have to pay extra $$ for the card but all the same, its all good. MNyaai, please forget the online status as you received the letter already. Others like me are still expectant and have not seen anything yet...but still hopeful.

Whining? Really? I think the whole point of this forum is to share experiences - good or bad, and it's useful to know what other people are going through as it helps others to know what to potentially look out for. I, for one, have not received my green card yet even though everyone else approved around the same time as me has. My online status still says 'Initial Review' so am I concerned? Yes. Only because I don't really know whether this is a glitch in the system, or fairly standard for USCIS. (I have never ROC'd before so how would I know?) The only people who would be able to answer that question for me based upon experience or general immigration knowledge are on this site, and that's why I signed up and why I brought up my 'issue.' I am sorry if this offends you.

IMO, Hossdelgado sharing his experience is useful because now I know that if I haven't received my card in a few weeks, it wouldn't hurt to check with the post office. Hossdelagado was just venting his frustration here, and I was expressing my concern at my online status not being updated yet - a right I believe we all have. People come on here to whine, to b*tch, to share, to celebrate, to blow off steam etc. It's supposed to be community offering support rather than just a place where we update our status, right?

Hossdelgado, I hope you resolved your issue.

In the meantime, again - good luck to everyone still waiting.....

I think the whole point of this forum is to share experiences - good or bad, and it's useful to know what other people are going through as it helps others to know what to potentially look out for. I, for one, have not received my green card yet even though everyone else approved around the same time as me has. My online status still says 'Initial Review' so am I concerned? Yes. Only because I don't really know whether this is a glitch in the system, or fairly standard for USCIS. (I have never ROC'd before so how would I know?) A quick update:

Relief: USCIS is sending the 10 year card back to my wife at no additional charge.

Details:

On April 16 I explained the situation to a tier 2 ISO, who checked the delivery status on their internal tracking system. The ISO confirmed that the letter had not been 'delivered' to my wife, but instead was 'delivered' a second time to CSC.

She confirmed my wife's address and said the card would be re-sent in approximately 4-6 weeks. USCIS status now shows as 'card returned as address undeliverable, call to update address.'

In the spirit of MNyarai level-headed post above, here are the main lessons I've learned and want to share.

Lessons:

Nothing is guaranteed until you have your card in hand.
Vigilantly check your USCIS status for a tracking number. Carefully monitor delivery status.
Do not take USPS delivery for granted. They lose cards more often than you would think (just search the forums for horror stories). 'Delivery confirmation' is not an actual confirmation of delivery. Many mail carriers 'pre-scan' letters and packages as 'delivered' to make their performance look better. They can do this because USPS scanners do not have GPS capabilities.
USCIS considers USPS 'delivery confirmation' as conclusive proof of delivery. If your letter is mis-delivered or stolen but is marked as 'delivered' USCIS will compel you to file a form i90 and pay the applicable fees (currently $450). This can take an additional 6 months.

Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you" I'm still in shock as I literally just went on the USCIS website obsessively looking as usual. I hadn't prepared myself at all. In fact both of us were transferred the same day (03/14) though I filed three days later than you and my NOA1 date is five days later than you. (12/24). Hope they follow the same timeline for me as well,

I am going to keep fingers firmly crossed for you and my fellow December filers. Looks like the transfers are moving pretty fast. It's only Monday so hopefully the week ahead will bring many more approvals.
