Mine states the same thing.. from many previous posts, I assume our files were transferred to CSC though.

Well, wherever it was sent to.. at least it has been touched and hope it keeps moving.

I got the same message by Text and Email from USCIS in the morning of March 14,2014 too. but a bit different, I got two updates in about 5 minutes, first one as same as Pat2Bos's, then, USCIS updated it again, it says On March 14, 2014, we transferred this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED to your local office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. I am not sure if my case will be transferred to my local office or to CSC. now I am waiting for the mail notice.

So finally got a message from USCIS this morning that my case status is now updated. With great hopes I checked the USCIS dashboard only to get this disappointing message which I don't even completely understand:

"Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On March 14, 2014, we transferred this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

Has anybody else received this? Shall I consider it progress or just one department passing the buck to another department? The case has been in initial review for more than two months now and it will be two months from my bio-metric on 17th March.

Any insight appreciated.

Hi Guys,

So hy2934's guess was right. Got the letter from the USCIS today that says the petition has been transferred to California Service Center. So at least the suspense is over but the frustrating part is that if they can tell this before sending the petition at least the time wasted in transfer would have been saved and we would have sent it directly to CSC rather than VSC.

And as per the processing time - https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do right now CSC is processing I-751 submitted on July 2, 2013. So we can expect our cased to get sorted out by end August 2014 at the earliest

Thanks Yurika & Jim,

According to this list it took 2-4 months post transfer so the luckier amongst us can hope to get their approval by mid-May and others by mid-July. Still seven months is not bad when it comes to condition removal.

But then the USCIS website processing time is all screwed up. Since as on Jan 31, 2014 they are showing processing of July 2, 2013 but as per the October list

We got a letter via snail mail dated 3/14/14 that our case was transferred to California.

Hi All-

You are better off being transferred to CSC. None of the November VSC filers have gotten a response (RFE, interview or approval). I was one if the first November VSC filers and the case is still in initial review and soon it will be 5 months. Even the CSC group only started hearing back last week. Good luck all!
