So guys today was my interview in us embassy in cairo.. The CO told me at the end of interview 'that's okay but we need to work on your case , it will be under ap ' . but he did not give me 221g form .

If anyone knows similar case , please let me know what happened with him/her and the waiting time should i expect. Thanks in advance

If they kept the passport, then all is well...for now. Considering the country, the post interview AP (which everyone undergoes) may be lengthy. No telling how much time will be needed.

When My Husband had his Interview they said he needed a new co sponsor and they gave him a paper that said this and also they said he was on mandatory AP.The CO said don't worry everyone goes on it lol .They kept his passport. We sent in the new co sponsor right away and he stayed on AP now for more than 8 months. He is now off AP we are waiting for his visa.So good sign they have your passport.Hopefully you will have a short AP.It's very stressing..btw he was giving a paper for AP to check on the website..

We have a number of threads in the MENA forum dedicated to Cairo AP... Wait times are often extensive at this time. We had no additional paperwork needed--just AP, just because. We are hoping to see this end in the next couple weeks. Our AP started April 3, 2013. My signature has our dates /timeline on it.
