Hello to all:

This is going to be a little long winded so please bear with me.

I have a variety of issues and questions, feel free to answer the ones you know and direct me to where I can find the answers I seek.

My wife to be is 24, a girl born into poverty on the island of Negros Oriental RP; I am a few months shy of 60. We met 2 1/2 years ago and have been living together 24-7 from the moment we met. If morality is a club you like to use don't bother...I know how to block and Glock.

First question what is the interviewers range of questions regarding how and where you met? Obviously no one wants to admit that you picked a girl up in Angeles City ( I didn't) and no girl is going to say she purchased as a slave (she wasn't). What if a girl did work in a bar? Surely someone has a piece of pertinent advice or knows a particular that relates.

We have lots of pictures together and a few videos just playing with her nephew and I have two of our landlords in the RP writing letters but we have no electronic history because we have never been apart for more that 2 days. Suggestions?

Next is the issue of the G-325. I have been in and out of the RP for most of 4 years and have no permanent address in the states; I was using a mail box, but with the electronic age and the banking system the way it is there is no need. How do I address the five year list of residence issues? How does she when half of that time was living with friends in shanties and were there is no address and barely a roof?

Am I the petitioner and she is the beneficiary? (Looking at the cover letter)

She is really worried about going to Manila for the interview, if I fly back can I go with her? Can I sit in the room?

She has a lousy high school education, one that did more dancing and parades then actual education so this is going to be a real test for her. How much of the paper work can I fill out before I leave next week? Would it benefit us to go to the embassy in Manila together before I leave? Like her, I hate Manila but we will do what we need to do.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Feel free to send me a PM if you have some specifics or details beyond this thread.

No worries about our feelings for one another, no issues of dis-trust or suspicions the entire time we have been together; our commitment to each other is the least of our problems, well below her misuse of pronouns. I have read that they can reject for inadequate English skills, is this true? She'll pass but it doesn't sound accurate to me.

Please, like I said at the start, no moralist need apply. Who we are or how we came to be one is not the issue...please don't try to make it the issue.

Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from many of you over the next few days, weeks, months but I pray not years.

Cheers JA

I know in some countries an address is almost like instructions to the home like #4 on the little alley , off bigger street, by purple church If that is the custom then the local embassy will be used to addresses looking like that.

As to how you met , the truth is always the best. As to "bar girls " there is a prohibition on people that have engaged in immoral behaviors and sex trade is one of these. It will be on you if she worked in such a place to be able to prove that she wasn't a sex worker as they will assume she was.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Welcome to VJ. Why not tell the truth of where and how you met,if they ask it on the interview, just short and direct. They will see more on how genuine your relationship is, rather than how everything started. Hop on to VJ, gather more ideas and be prepared. interview is not a story telling, you don't have to be very good in speaking, as I said just be precise and have sure short answers with confidence. The consul even ask prior to questioning, if applicant prefers Tagalog or English , so you have a choice. Having you around, will boast her confidence. Good luck.

most of the things you covered here can be covered by simple letters of attestation.

I suggest one letter per thing, you have multiple things in post #1.

re: yer G-325A - if you need more space, attach a continuation page.

re: who's who - yup - yer the petitioner, she's the beneficiary. later on, she'll become a visa applicant, but yer still the petitioner, who'll morph into the sponser later.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
