divorce decree name change

Hi my divorce was final in august and it states that I could change my name to my maiden name I haven't done so because Im not ready to change and go thrue all those paper works my question should I apply with my married name or should I go and change my name and then apply. Thanks again

are you the petitioner? well i had the situation...on the application I used my maiden name but all of my documents had my marriage name...I never had any problems...I still haven't changed my name on any of my documents as of yet.....I don't want to change my name and then have to change it again...

right I didn't want to change my name to my maiden name and then have to go again and change it to my married name so I guess I'm just going to go ahead and use my married name even though it says that I should change my name back to my maiden name thank you for your info

and yes I am the petitioner
