Just thought I would let everyone know these facts that I got. If you have applyed for a K-1 visa everyone knows it is hard for your fiancee to come visit the US. I talked to an Immigration agent wen I was coming back into the countryand she told me how that you can get your fiancee in to visit.

(1) Your fiance(e) needs to have proof that they are going to return to there country.

Examples: A lease aggreement on a house or appartment. A note from your job that you have a contract with that you are only on vacation. But this only works with countrys that you have to sign a contract to work at a job.

Also, note that a return ticket does not constatute proof that they wil be returning to there country

(2) They will check their bag when they coome to visit.

My fiancee wanted to bring things to leave so she could have them for latter. But this is a bad idea, because they look for signs that they are not going to be leaving.

(3) If your fiance(e) has ever visited the US. Make sure that the little green visiters card was returned when they left the country. If not, and they try to come visit they will automatically reject them.

The reason I metion this is because if they came to visit and then cossed into Canada, they do not take the card which would happen if they flew out of the states. Without this card returned, the US computer system still thinks that you are in the US.

Hope this is helpfull.

Hi! I am trying to get more informed on what's the process in a K-1 Visa. My Fiance lives in Meknes, Morocco. We are waiting for the process of the Visa, but I would like to know if he can apply for a permit to come visit to USA too. I am in the process of making a visit to him myself in January, but it's been more difficult for me financially. What exactly is required of him to apply for a permit? Only the job contract from his job? or what else? Will appreciate a reply to lumibe79@hotmail.com. Thanks!

1) Start with the guides regarding a K1: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide

2) If he is interested in a tourist visa to the US, he needs to apply at the US consulate in his country. Do a search for this online and you'll find all the information. There is no permit and visa through his employer he something totally different.

It's been quite a long time since my last post in 2006, right? I want to thank the person who did give information about applying for a permit. Well, so far since the time I filed for the K - 1 visa for my Fiance which was on February 2007. We are still waiting for the Embassy to get through with the administrative processing. It's been seven months since his first interview in October 2007. For me it's been quite a long time to get through with this administrative processing. Has anyone has gone through something similar? Will appreciate any response. Thanks!!!
