Waiver required to get Green Card?

I am a spanish postdoc researcher who came three years ago to U.S.A. with a J1. This visa initially was not subject to a two-year home-country physical presence requirement but later I get a fellowship from Spain.

Then I won the diversity lottery and currently I am waiting for my number to appear in the bulletin to submit my application to USCIS.

My question is whether, because I get a spanish fellowship, my J1 visa is now subject to the two years requeriment and if so, should I apply for a waiver for this requirement in order to get the green card?

You would have to ask Spain if you are subject/ if the HRR was a condition of the funds. Each visa is different.
