Interview new week! Advice??

My fiance has his K1 visa interview next week. We've been trying really hard to get everything in order and I just want to know if anyone has any suggestions?

We will bring all the paperwork as asked by packet 4 of our embassy, but we also have other supporting evidence to a lot of the topics (i.e. letter explaining multiple addresses, parental approval letters, letters explaining employment situations, financial supplements, etc). Is there such thing as too much proof? Will it look suspect or be too much for the CO if my fiance has a large stack of supplemental information?

We don't talk on the phone too much (but message every day), how many segments of messaging transcripts should my fiance bring in addition to phone call logs? (as of now we have about 8 app conversations spanning Oct-present and 8 facebook conversations)

We didn't have any 'official' engagement ceremony, nor do we have solid wedding plans set (since he needs his visa first - duh!).. but we will be providing a tentative guest list for the marriage (only ~10 people since it will be small).

We're trying to minimize the opportunity for questions/doubts since when people get nervous, they tend to babble (my fiance included). We have heard of many people being issued 221g for reasons that were (seemingly) unclear.

Do you think we have prepared enough? Any suggestions/advice?

(FYI, we're both previously unmarried, he's older than me (in our 20s), and we are an inter-racial couple.. just to address some previous things I have seen raise 'red flags')

I'm no expert - just going on mostly what I've learned here! But having too much evidence is better than not having enough. Better to be prepared for every contingency, than to have a question come up that you don't have evidence for. The amount of evidence you bring shouldn't raise any suspicions.

The reason multi-race could possibly be an issue is because it makes them think that possibly you have nothing in common and it could cause them to be suspicious about your reasons for marrying. But as long as you can show you have plenty of other things in common, such as language and/or religion, and other interests, race shouldn't be a problem at all. They just want to see you have some grounds for a real relationship.

Exactly! But we have every proof necessary to substantiate that we're a legitimate couple with things in common, have met multiple times, etc etc. We're just so scared about the questions that we might be asked or our paperwork might raise! :/

I think you're going to be fine. Don't over think it! Just be prepared. And it sounds like you're well prepared. I've seen people here who brought in the bare bones and others who brought in the whole filing cabinet - and they all got approved. As long as you can prove you've met within the last 2 years, have an ongoing relationship, and are not currently married to someone else, you should be fine.

Just curious why you have parental approval letters? Are either of you underage?

No were both in our twenties but heard it recommend from another poster that it can be good to show your parents approve of the marriage (they suggested notarized so im guessing its just more proof of a legitimate engagement?)
