Hello VJ Members,

I had submitted I-129F petition for my fiancee back in August of 2013 at the TSC and I received the approval notice on the 18th of October, 2013 which was fabulous! However, ever since then, it has been a nightmare!
I have called USCIS multiple times and every time I get a different answer from the Immigration Officer I speak to. Initially, I was told that the petition had been forwarded to NVC and that I should contact NVC for any further details. Two weeks later, NVC had not received it. So, I called USICS again on the 7th of November and the case was expedited.
The text of the expedited request states:
"The status of this service request is:
We have received your service request and researched the status of your application. Our records indicate that your petition was approved. An approval notice was produced and mailed on 10/18/2013 to the address on record at that time. Please allow up to 30 days for delivery of your petition to the Department of States National Visa Center (NVC)"
So, I called again on the 18th of November which is 30 days from the date, the petition was approved (18th October 2013) and I was told that the petition was still in Texas and, that I should give a couple of more days for the file to be sent.
On the 21st of November, I spoke to another Immigration Officer and this time I was shocked with the rude behavior of the Immigration Officer. To add to that, I was told, that I should wait another 30 days before the file would be sent to NVC.
On the 22nd of November, I was re-issued another approval. God knows why!
Called NVC and USCIS yet again today and well they just say that the petition has been approved and its part of some package that will be sent out to NVC soon. I am getting sick and tired of this process. I have contacted the Congressman, the ombudsman, I even emailed the TSC Director today.
Any inputs? Suggestion on what I should do?
Let me know your thoughts please.

Did your last correspondence from USCIS say " On November 22, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing." ? If so, that means the physical package has been sent to NVC. I skipped calling the NVC and called the Dept. Of State (202) 485-7600 to get my case number. You can then go to the CEAC website to see the status of your case.

No, it states that "The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate" similar to the one that was approved on the 18th of October.

It takes a while. My case was approved (Texas service center) on September 30th but was not mailed to NVC until 11-12-13. Then NVC officially received the file on 11-19-13.

TCS takes their sweet time, and NVC will tell you 8 weeks and that seems to be pretty accurate. Mine took about 7 weeks.
