Thats great, you got a email from the embassy? .and did your ceac status change aswell

No i haven't gotten the email yet, i don't know if i will get it or my fiance?! But it hasn't reached the embassy or haven't been accepted/recieved yet by them.

Yes it changed, before it said At NVC, now it says it's in transit to the consular section. This was just last night, so it's pretty fresh

Hey VJ Community! Happy Holidays :)

We checked our Visa Application Status on the CEAC website and it said ' Ready' : Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the US Consular section.

I guess now we are waiting to be notified of our visa appointment and preparing the documents suggested by the K1 Guides.

Hope everyone is doing fine!

We almost waited for a month and decided to send an e-mail to NVC. We wrote our case number as subject, included my and his name and birth dates but no reply so far -mind the e-mail was sent on the 21st. Do they reply to e-mails at all? Does the status always change on the USCIS web site once the case gets transferred to NVC? The only thing we forgot to do is attach a copy of the NOA2, which I didn't know was a requirement...

Either way, what's the best way to contact them? Should we send another e-mail or just wait it out?

It's been over a month for us. I have been calling periodically throughout the week and also sent an email. All of the responses are the same like I'm speaking to a Robot. Next time I call I'm going to try to ask them what the weather is like today. But it just seems like if you haven't reached the 8 week mark you get the stock response. Here is a copy of stock email I received just recently.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center (NVC) has not received your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please allow at least eight weeks from the date USCIS approved your petition for us to receive it.
Sincerely,

My NOA2 date is also 11/21/13. I telephoned the NVC on Monday, December 23, 2013. I was told, "your case was received today, it is in th process of being prepared, then it will be assigned a case number. It is too early to provide you with a case number at this time. Please allow up to 8 weeks." So, it is likely that your case arrived around the same time as mine, just that my case was luckly pulled before yours. You should receive a different response very soon. Good luck!

I know how you feeling man because i got approve on Nov 14 and still my petition hasn't reached to NVC and they always send the same response. I called to USCIS and found out that Immigration officer hasn't sent the petition to NVC (just like that).

Which country/consulate will you be having your interview at? Processew are different per country. Like with my country, we are the ones that set the appointment so you may wanna search more about how yours is done in your country.

We almost waited for a month and decided to send an e-mail to NVC. We wrote our case number as subject, included my and his name and birth dates but no reply so far -mind the e-mail was sent on the 21st. Do they reply to e-mails at all? Either way, what's the best way to contact them? Should we send another e-mail or just wait it out?

Send another one with your NOA2. Yes they do reply to emails but it takes about 2 weeks. They either say they dont have your files yet (as shown on one of the posts above me) or they say they have completed the processing of your petition and give you your case number. But they usually try to reply only when your case number is already available.

The status will change to "at NVC" and then "in transit" when the files are on its way to your consulate. Once consulate processes it, it becomes "Ready".

Best way is still to call them, you get faster answers.
