NVC STILL not received case - NOA2 received Nov 5

NOA2 received November 21, 2013.

Today I received email and text message stating, "On December 13, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.


For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations."

I am excited now because it seems things are finally moving again!

Just called the NVC AGAIN and still they haven't got me in the system, I got my hard copy of NOA2 on November the 5th and I went through the Texas center. Everytime I phone I get the usual "it can take up to 8 weeks" response..

To be honest it could take up to 8 week but usually its before that just keep calling NVC and it may help if you try to contact USCIS to confirm your file has left for NVC. Good luck.

Wait 8 weeks. UGH what about the 9 Months we have already waited:( The Christmas holidays are going to slow down this process even more. I just wanna pay the money and get my husband here with me. What is the point of all this waiting apart?

Ours took about 3 and a half weeks. Recieved NOA 2 on Oct 19th and filled out DS 261 on November 22. I know it is frustrating but just be patient. It is kind of like watching food in the microwave. It doesn't cook any faster by watching, nor does it move any faster by getting impatient. Good luck.

Does anyone know how long it is taking for approved petitions from CSC to reach the NVC? We were approved on Nov. 29th still checking mailbox everyday for our NAO2.

Ours took about 2 weeks.

Still nothing today, I called the USCIS and they told me they can't do anything until it has been 30 days (which is Friday) and I should call back then if there's still no update, apparently they will contact the NVC about it if nothing happens.

We didnt get any email or update that our case was at the nvc, nore that we got a case nr, we had to call them! Ours were shipped to the nvc 4th of Dec, and we called NVC to get the information that it was recieved and that we got a case nr, so i suggest once again that you call them from time to time, you can even email! Good luck...

So your case was already forward to the consulate ...I called and. Got my case number Dec 12 and ceac website say still at nvc ,,am currently on hold trying to contact them asking when they planning on sending it off kmft

Well that's what they said yes, but i checked our status today and yes its still at the nvc. But im glad we at least have the case nr.

OK when did they say they toward it...I called this morning and they say it was in administrative processing

My fiance called friday and got the

Case nr, and i guess they said that it WILL be forwarded to the embassy, not that it has been.

to day i called the embassy and i told then that i got the case number, they asked me to email them with the case number and then they will replay with all information for what i have to prepare for the interview, so don't lose time for waiting , u can email the embassy with the case number till the NVC ship the file

Well yesterday we got an update that it's in transit, so it's being sent to my embassy
