I have my Biometrics scheduled for next week and my question is, will they let me wear a hat? It's a pretty silly question, I know. It's just that...I'm having chemo right now and I'd really prefer to have some hair in my EAD and greencard (hoping for an approval in a couple of months.) I assume I can re-apply for new card/s in a few months but I just thought I'd ask if anyone knows just how strict the people who take the photograph during Biometrics are.

I don't think they will approve a hat since the photo is intended to be a good likeness of your face. Do you have a wig you can wear that is close to your original appearance? You can ask them, but don't be surprised by a negative response.

I would be very surprised if you were able to wear your hat in your photograph.

I can certainly sympathize with your situation, but I am pretty sure they will not be able to make an exception.

I do not think so, the picture will be an your green card and there it is not allowed. Good luck anyways.

Ok - forget I suggested that, it was dumb. Maybe bring a hat or head covering of some sort to the interview (just in case) or as someone suggested a wig. Hope it all goes well for you.

I figured I wouldn't but I didn't want to be a 'know-it-all' and thought to ask just in case anyone knew. Anyway, I think I'll try to ask at the Biometrics appointment anyway and will post my experience. Maybe it'll help someone else in the future. :)
