Interview Timeframe compared to Valid I-797C dates

I read that many of you guys are still waiting on the interview date where it will take just about 2-3 months from the time P3 is turned in. If the interview date is past the valid dates that are on the I-797C would it matter or the US embassy in Ho Chi Minh will supersede that letter we got and we should just forget about that letter and look forward to the interview date whenever that may be.

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing and emailed them to ask. Here is what they said:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The beneficiary’s case is in process of being scheduled for a visa interview. The consular officer has the authority to extend the validity of a petition if processing time exceeds the original validity. No action is required from the beneficiary and the petitioner for the extension.

Please contact us at the end of each month for further information about the appointment date.
