HELP me please,

it is 12/29 I got case and invoice e-mail and today filled out DS-261 and got submitted confirmation. I then wentto Immigrant Visa Payment Center site to see if I could make payment and to my surprise it stated there:

"This case is in the process of termination> Fee payments and on line forms can no longer be accepted?

everything was going on correctly before....what can be the reason for this?????

but why do they put in termination???

If you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-3032 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

Saylin, you mentioned front loading the IV package with evidence. I assume the Philippines is considered a high fraud country. Are you talking about the same evidence I submitted for the 130 and that the beneficiary will carry to the interview? Photos, Skype transcripts, financial co-mingling ? Am I missing anything? Thanks

It's not in termination. It's just a standard error message.

You include whatever evidence you've generated since the I-130 was submitted (or whatever wasn't included in the original submission). Basically, anything you were planning on bringing to the interview should be submitted in the IV package if you're going to front-load.

For part 9 on the I-864, where it asks if a preparer filled out the form, in my case there was no preparer..I did it myself

Do I still need to send page 9 in with the AOS packet? If I do, should I fill in N/A in all the boxes for Part 9?

Thanks guys,

Definitely include the page. If you don't include it, the reviewing officer will assume you forgot to include it and issue you a checklist. And yes, due to the high volume of checklists this month for not putting N/A or none in the appropriate places, you may want to put N/A in all the boxes.

Thanks again Saylin!

Oh for the optional part 7 (about Use of Assets for supplement income), if I am not filing that out, should I write N/A there as well? I ask because that is an optional part (I have a joint sponsor that meets the guidelines).

Again, like my previous answer, since people have been getting checklists recently for not putting N/A, you may want to put N/A there, even if it is the optional section.

I am a USC, but I had an A number at one point..on the I-864, where it says country of citizenship I put USA...but it then asks for an A number..should I still include it?

If you have an A number, then yes, I'd suggest putting it. It'd be better to include it and for them to disregard it (since you're now a USC) than to not put it.
