Everything is done and submitted to the nvc, just waiting for case complete alt check list and the. An interview date.. I won't have my interview before the end of January, which I'm well awear of, however, we were thinking about leaving then for a few weeks, my American husband lives here in Sweden with me and our two children.. Just to start getting things set up, bring our dog aso and then return to Sweden a few weeks later the entire family to go to my interview and finalize out bank affairs, honor our lease agreement, and my husband needs to fulfill his contract with work. But we are both on parent leave January and February, so why not go and visit? Question is, traveling with two kids birth under the age of 2, one only 5 weeks at the time, I'm worried about not being let into the country., anyone thinks I will have problems? Our kids are American citizens by birth. We are all leaving again, and I will by that time have an interview date in Stockholm to get home to as well. Thoughts?

Hi December NVC filers. My case got transferred from USCIS to NVC on Dec 9, I called last friday and they didnt get it yet. my question is, my husband work in Madagascar. I read the requirement for every country and it said there that police clearance is available for those that are born there and those that resided there. My husband work there, He's contract is every 5 months.. After 5 months he will go back to the philippines and then after 1 month he will go back to madagascar for another contract. basically he was there for 1 year and 5 months. Does NVC will ask police clearance from there? Please help. Thank you.

So due to getting China Police Clearance, I've been google-ing and this website came across on the first list.http://www.visainchina.com/nocriminal.htm Does anyone had experience getting supporting documents from this website/agent before? Especially those who used to live or work in China? Does this legit??

I called China embassy and they said that they can't make Police clearance for me. That I have to go to China to obtain this.

I'm sorry, but this is not so easy as you make it sound. Its not like "oops, sorry IRS, I made a mistake, please tick the correct box for me."

When your spouse lives abroad you have to file them as non-resident alien (NRA), can't e-file, and there are a lot of small twists and turns. My father completed my returns for me while I was working on a cruise ship and he filed me as single. I'm terrified now that my case will be denied. I am pretty positive the IRS is not just going to let me "amend" the return to married especially in the case of an NRA spouse.

I just filled out the DS-261, the principal applicant is the beneficiary and you can chose the petitioner (in this case your husband) to be the agent of choice of the case. Sounds like you did everything right. Good Luck.

Thanks for the reply, but i chose principal applicant as the choice of agent then i put my email address.. Correspondence from the U.S. Department of State regarding your visa application will be sent to: i put my husband's address and contact nmber, not mine. Is it fine?

I have a big big question.......For Hispanic heritage people, when your wife is Montalvo Martinez as Single, and Married will be Montalvo de Ortega, How it is supposed to be filled in the DS 260? Montalvo de Ortega or Ortega-Montalvo?

I have a question about sending NVC photograph. What is the requirement? Is it the same size and style picture that is sent to USCIS with I-130 form?

Yes, I myself called them yesterday and was told to call on Dec 23rd.

However I received the following email yesterday :

I have a CR1 case with the consulate. The case has been completed at the NVC and now is with you. I had a question: Do I need to have my fingerprints taken before the interview date? My interview is scheduled on 27th Jan 2014.
