Hi :)

I am waiting on my case number as well, I was just curious if besides the approval letter from immigration if you received anything in the mail from the NVC or you just called for the information? Sorry to bother you with this question!

It's no bother.. I enjoy helping or sharing my experience.. I actually have not recieved anything in the mail from NVC.. They have only emailed me.. I called everyday to get my case # then when I finally got the case #... they updated our email address for me and my wife over the phone (which they already had for me but not for my wife... we used same email for both of us).. After I got my case number I try logging into both payment and online forms website.. I got error message (saying terminating my case) on payment portal but on the online forms I could do the DS-261.. After submitting the DS-261 everything goes sooooo fast.. Be prepared right now with all AOS package and IV package, check online a lot, and stay with it... Hard work might can save some of the waiting time.. Edited by TimandAna

Finished for now!!

rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifGlad I did not bother dealing with our lawyer when we received a Checklist email from NVC last Friday Dec.13,2013. Instead I called NVC and got a good answer. We might have the same problem if I contact our lawyer about that checklist.

Yes you did right, i told my lawyer to wait untill we get a hard copy by snail mail but he sent it right away next day. When its a false checklist you never get a hard copy. Before responding he had to wait a week or so.. :(

Yesterday we found out that our case reached the NVC. :) No case # yet though.

Does anyone know how NVC is working next week with Christmas and all? We want to call them again to see if the number's there yet. Thanks!

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

I'm not gonna celebrate yet because last time they were wrong, but I just called and they said my case completed yesterday 18th Dec. Gonna wait until afternoon to call them again to confirm. I'm wondering how long it will take for embassy to schedule interview date.

My wife called and asked them. They said its a new rule starting 2014 so call us after 25th December. Or email on Support-india@ustraveldocs.com

Aryann,

I have called them multiple time and they have said that we need to wait till dec 23 to resigter for the fingerprints. This is based on calling them today and them sending the email.

I hope that helps.

Yes, I myself called them yesterday and was told to call on Dec 23rd.

However I received the following email yesterday :

Date/Time Case Opened: 12/17/2013 11:34 AM Description: Hi,

I have a CR1 case with the consulate. The case has been completed at the NVC and now is with you. I had a question: Do I need to have my fingerprints taken before the interview date? My interview is scheduled on 27th Jan 2014.

Thanks

Regards
