Hello guys, Can anyone please help me? So my wife has hired an agent to do all the paper work in india. This guy told her that in order to get the PCC from passport office, you have to receive checklist from NVC first :-/ I thought we had to send all the civil documents in order to not get any checklist. He also told her that if you want to get a PCC, you need a letter or something from NVC asking for it, so is it true? Is there a way we can get the PCC before getting checklist from NVC? I thought we had to submit the PCC along with all the civil documents in DS260. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks smile.png

Hi,

I got my PCC from the passport office without showing any checklist/documents from USCIS/NVC. I applied online for PCC and scheduled an appointment. You only need to bring your passport and a self attested copy with you to get the PCC. You will get the PCC on the same day itself.. You can find the details here: http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/pccOnlineApp

guys, I got my interview on January 15, '14, and in the P4, it mentions which doc's to bring, nonetheless, what I am having difficulty with is the following:

F-Financial Evidence Code -> I. This form is incomplete. You must present a completed form at your interview.

I filled out I-864EZ, and the checklist I received was because address field was left blank, which I sent back and the case was reviewed, I am way above the poverty line, so not sure about this one. Should I send my wife (beneficiary) my tax transcripts, or W-2, or something of that nature???????????

any ideas

Did you include employer letter or pay stubs when you submitted the I-864EZ? Or did you not include tax transcripts or tax return with W2s?

Yes, I included pay stubs, tax transcripts for the last 3 years, w 2, I864EZ, and keep in mind that emplyment letter is optional just as pay stubs are, but since I included pay stubs that automatically let's them know that I am employed.

Need the help please....my i 130 application is approved. i m living in new zealand temporary ( i m indian citizen..moving back to india soon )

when i submit DS 260 form and all documents...the checklist says we have to submit original police clerance certificate to NVC,,,,,now when i will go to interview at embassy,,,they will also ask for original documents ....as i will get only one original copy of police certi ( NZ & indian )

if i send the original copy ( like police certi ) to NVC ....i dont have any copies left on my interview date..for embassy officer to show....

So if i send original copy to NVC...and when NVC send my whole case file to indian embassy...they will send all original documents too.( so embassy officer wont ask me for original documents...) how does this document submission work ??

becoz i think us govt. site says you have to submit original police clerance certi to NVC....and also at interview checklist it says original documents....so how can we submit original 2 times...unless the NVC will send it to overseas embassy at interview,,,

which are documents i have send the original copy and which are the one i can send certified copy with IV package. can someone put the required documents list they got from NVC...the real one...

After an interview date is scheduled (typically the next day), the case is sent out to the embassy/consulate. So everything you submit to NVC will arrive before your interview date.

And you can find the list of required civil documents for NVC here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html They don't send an actual list in any of the correspondence, they send you to this link.

I didnt read about this anywhere, i am just curious. Will the petitioner need to add proof of citizenship or copy of the naturalization certificate with affidavit of support?

Nope, the petitioner doesn't need to do that. Only any joint sponsors do.

Here's the info on PCCs from Brazil: http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9006#docs (according to NVC, anyways)

And nope, no need for a US PCC. They'll do their own checks ;)
