Exactly! I was surprised when the agent told her that she has to wait for checklist in order to get the PCC. If we had to wait and that for checklist then I don't know what is the point of having agent, aren't they suppose to make sure that we don't receive any checklist.

Sorry to say, but yeah..I have heard of people hiring lawyers here too in the US, and they are not as thorough. You have to be your best lawyer/reviewer/agent :)

Here is a suggestion... Why don't you have your agent hook you up with the earliest appointment at the passport office(I am sure he should have "connections"), and then just have your wife go there and see what they say...worth a try.

USCIS:
02/22/2013 - I-130 Sent
11/29/2013 - I-130 Approval Text/email
12/02/2013 - Case Sent to NVC
NVC:
12/23/2013 - Case Received
01/17/2014 - Case Number/IIIN# Assigned
01/29/2014 - AOS and IV invoiced + Paid
02/03/2014- AOS + DS-260 Receipt sent to NVC via FedEx
02/04/2014- NVC received packet
02/28/2014 - Case complete
MUMBAI CONSULATE:
03/18/2014 - Fingerprinting and photos taken
04/01/2014 - Medicals complete
04/11/2014 - Interview!
04/11/2014 - Approved!!
04/16/2014 - Passport ready for pickup at Mumbai consulate(pickup location)
POE
04/19/2014 - POE(Los Angeles)
I am the Petitioner.

Well when ever my wife asks him about PCC he tells her to wait for checklist, and until then he can't do anything. I don't know if it's baroda office that requires it or what. Since your wife is from surat, and she was able to receive the PCC, I don't know how much difference can there be within same state.

I really appreciate all the feedback!

Why do you need an agent in the first place? My wife got her PCC from the passport office. she just took the supporting docs mentioned in the FAQ.. She booked the appointment online.

Here is the link to where you can schedule an appointment to pick up the certificate.

http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/pccOnlineApp

Online Form Submission

Step 1 Register through the Passport Seva Portal. (Click on "Register" link under the Apply section on the Home Page). Step 2 Login to the Passport Seva Portal with the Login Id created in Step 1. Step 3 Click "Apply for Police Clearance Certificate" link. Step 4 Fill in the required details in the form and submit. Step 5 Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment.

Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras.

Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes:

  • Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard & Visa)
  • Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks Only)
  • SBI Bank Challan

Step 6 Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number. Step 7 Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents.

Note:

Read this link for the docs needed for getting the PCC,. Scroll down to Question 65 for PCC FAQs.

Nope you can call NVC. Call away.

I am the beneficiary and I am the one calling NVC in behalf of my hubby. Its so frustrating to be on hold more than 30min calling NVC and my hubby don't have the patience to do that and besides he is very busy at work. Goodluck:idea:

Yay great! Thanks guys! Now i have to figure out these time zones and time diff

We just got approved so hopefully by next month (or earlier) we'll get our nvc case number *fingers crossed*

I don't mean to be rude but why would you have a lawyer pay them than not listen to them. No country is exempt going through NVC for AOS or IV for a IR1/CR1. Yes you submit it all to NVC not at interview that is a K1 who does that.

The NVC is for every consulate. Please read post #1 and #2.

Thank you soooooo much

Thanks.

Also, If we are suppose to send originals of marriage cert and birth cert of beneficiary, how do we recover these important documents back from NVC?

If I may answer your question... my husband told me they will give them back to me in the interview so don't worry :))

I am sure Saylin will respond to you...but I know that everything (even IV package) gets sent to NVC. I have seen circumstances on this thread where some cases were granted an expedite and bypassed NVC and went straight to the consulate. But, everyone else sends them to the NVC. I had my husband (beneficiary) send all of his original documents to me by mail (which took some time), and then I sent everything in the IV package out myself in the US.

Thank you sooooo much

Is Original Employment letter required by NVC, or just tax transcripts and pay stubs ?

The reason i'm asking is because i have two jobs. One is with the company that i'm working for 5-6 years now, and the other is for myself.

First job i really don't need anymore, but i'm not sure what to do because at my second job i get paid in cash. So there is no any kind of records what i make etc...but it's more then my first job so....and it's kind of too much to work at both places.

I already made over $25.000 this year, no children, nothing, just myself, and i was thinking to just work until the end of this month and quit.

But if they do require original employment, and latest pay stubs i'm gonna have to change my mind...

Question again guys..

My mom applied for employment visa in 2007 and until now she is still waiting for EB3 to be current. I was listed as her dependant but im over 21 years old now. Will that affect my own CR1 application? Considering that i am/was included in here visa application?

I dont know if this is NVC related question, but im hoping you guys have an idea. Thank you.
