Its being 10 days since i sent AOS Package to NVC and filled my DS-261 but IV Fees for not getting available sad.pngsad.png very bad week for me

Any suggestion what to do now? So frustrated from this process

The IV fee is only invoiced after the DS-261 has been received and added to the case file. Have you called NVC to find out the status of your DS-261?

They said they have received DS-261 but havenot reviewed yet sad.png

Could be any day now then. Keep calling once a day to find out the status.

Hello guys, Can anyone please help me? So my wife has hired an agent to do all the paper work in india. This guy told her that in order to get the PCC from passport office, you have to receive checklist from NVC first :-/ I thought we had to send all the civil documents in order to not get any checklist. He also told her that if you want to get a PCC, you need a letter or something from NVC asking for it, so is it true? Is there a way we can get the PCC before getting checklist from NVC? I thought we had to submit the PCC along with all the civil documents in DS260. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks :)

Thanks! that's what I thought that copy of NOA2 should be sufficient to get PCC.

My wife got the PCC from the passport office with just her Passport.

I made the appointment online at

PCC is listed under other Services near the bottom of the page...

Hey thanks!

But I have heard that Gujarat Passport office requires interview letter from NVC in order to get the PCC and I think my wife can take PCC along with her on her interview.

Agree with Kalloo on that one. These so called agents are not the most knowledgeable .My wife just got a PCC from the passport office and didn't even need to show NOA1 or NOA2.

Where in Gujarat? My wife is from Surat and they didn't ask her for any letter from the NVC. Also make sure she makes a few certified copies of it for her records and for her to take to the interview.

Baroda

Did your wife had to show any type of proof to passport office?

Nope. She took her passport, ID proof, and she did have her NOA2 copy, but they didn't ask her for it. The letter just cleared her and said "there is no adverse information that would render her ineligible for grant of travel privileges including a visa for the United States of America".

Maybe Baroda's passport office works differently in that they need the letter from NVC. But I would personally go there and plead that waiting for the letter is not a possibility since it will delay the application by months and you will get a checklist etc etc. Make sure that agent goes there as well. He should help the case, not just raise his hands up and give up :)

Exactly! I was surprised when the agent told her that she has to wait for checklist in order to get the PCC. If we had to wait and that for checklist then I don't know what is the point of having agent, aren't they suppose to make sure that we don't receive any checklist.
