Also, If we are suppose to send originals of marriage cert and birth cert of beneficiary, how do we recover these important documents back from NVC?

They'll be returned after an approved interview at the consulate/embassy.

They'll be returned after an approved interview at the consulate/embassy.

Will they returned at the interview site, or will it be mailed to the beneficiary's US address? Are there any down sides to submitting a certified copy rather than a original. At least with certified, I wouldn't have to worry if I ever got it back.

ok its been 28 days since i received my NOA2 letter.. and NVC havent received my case yet.. they say it could be upto 8 weeks! im getting a little impatient now..

My NOA2 was dated the 1st of October and the NVC didn't receive it til the 2nd of December so in some cases the 8 weeks is accurate...and then you have to wait for a case number to be assigned which they say can take up to 20 business days. I'm beginning to think impatient is my middle name! haha!

hi...can you tell me when you submitted the AOS package and the IV package ?

Halloween (Oct 31st) but NVC didn't acknowledge "receiving" them for about one week after that. So, basically, took them one full month to check the package.

Congrats! I'm so happy to hear that cases are being completed! Gives me hope! :-)

Just received my case complete email notification from NVC ~ a day shy of 1 month after emailing the AOS and DS-260 supporting documents. [we are doing electronic processing]

And the biggest joy is that we did not get a checklist! dancin5hr.gif

That's the same time-frame I've seen with our paperwork! Congratulations!!!! dancin5hr.gif Unfortunately, we got one checklist item and are now in the midst of that stupid 30-day wait for review again. Only one item, though, so hopefully this time, it's a go. Congrats again!

08.24.2013 - got married in the Philippines!

09.25.2013 - NOA1 via email

11.18.2013 - requested expedite due to typhoon

12.02.2013 - CFO seminar

12.12.2013 - I-130 approved, NOA2 via email (never transferred); shipped to NVC

12.30.2013 - NVC received the case

01.06.2014 - requested expedite due to typhoon and PCS

01.08.2014 - Case # and IIN; submitted DS-261; NVC asked for 2 contact #s of beneficiary

01.09.2014 - AOS fee billed

01.14.2014 - AOS fee showed paid

01.15.2014 - IV fee billed; expedite approved

01.18.2014 - sent AOS package

01.22.2014 - IV fee showed paid; AOS arrived at NVC as per UPS (10:18am by FNU)

01.24.2014 - sent IV package

01.27.2014 - submitted DS-260; IV docs delivered to NVC as per DHL (10:52am by PETERS G)

01.29.2014 - CASE COMPLETE (via phonecall)

01.30.2014 - received checklist for Dutch Police Record (VOG) via email

01.31.2014 - left NVC, sent to embassy

02.04.2014 - received at embassy, READY as per CEAC

02.10-11.2014 - medical done, passed!

02.24.2014 - interview: APPROVED!!

02.27.2014 - Received SMS from 2Go, ready for pick up

02.28.2014 - visa on hand; CFO sticker

03.01.2014 - paid ELIS

03.06.2014 - POE Hawaii...Aloooohaaa! :)

04.10.2014 - 2yr green card received

Hello all. I would just like to ask if the petitioner-applicant can receive email notification from NVC even if she's coming from a country where electronic processing isn't offered.

And if we can indeed receive email notifications from NVC regarding our case, how do we do this? Is there a site where we can sign up for updates like that of USCIS.GOV?

Nope you can call NVC. Call away.

Of course. Thats the only way NVC communicates through email. Once you get case# you give them both your emails. And thats it.

You will submit documents snail mail, but you will complete payment and forms online and submit. Do read post#1 and #2. has all the answers.

I am the beneficiary and I am the one calling NVC in behalf of my hubby. Its so frustrating to be on hold more than 30min calling NVC and my hubby don't have the patience to do that and besides he is very busy at work. Goodluckidea9dv.gif

Sept.6,2012 - Received email from USCIS, case transferred from NBC to Local Atlanta office.
- Scheduled hubby for INFO PASS dated Sept.26,2012

Sept.21,2012 - Hubby received a call from USCIS Lady doing a "PHONE INTERVIEW".
Sept.24,2012- Received Text & Email " CASE APPROVED"
Sept.26,2012- Hubby still went to his INFO PASS appointment to asked further assitance for the next stage.
Sept.28,2012- Received Noa2 Hard copy

Oct.22,2013 - NVC received file
Nov.5, 2013 - Received Case # and Invoice ID Number
Nov.6, 2013 - Received Email for AOS & FEE Bill
Nov.8, 2013 - AOS & IV payment status " IN PROCESS"
Nov.12,2013- AOS & IV payment status "PAID"
Nov.21,2013- DS-260 submitted
Dec.9,2013 - AOS & IV package sent
Dec.13,2013- False checklist received. Called NVC to confirm and they said just ignore it. Its like a confirmation
they received our documents.
Jan.14,2014 - Called NVC and heared our document was reviewed Jan.9 - and we got a checklist
on AOS & IV.

Jan.15,2014- Received official email checklist

Jan.15,2014- Responded to IV checklist in the afternoon. Sending my NBI CLEARANCE (again) Thru FedEx.

Jan 17,2014- NVC received FedEx document at 9:40a.m. signed by G.Peters

Jan 17,2014- Hubby took a half day off at work to dropped off personally to the lawyer's office, a checklist on his
AOS.

Jan.21,2014- IV checklist reviewed

Jan. 29,2014- AOS checklist reviewed

Feb. 20, 2014 - CASE COMPLETE

Feb. 27, 2014 - Received Official Email..Case Complete

Feb, 28, 2014 - Received P4

April 1, 2014 - INTERVIEW DATE 9:30a.m.

Change the time you call then ;) I found calling at 5pm EST was the best for me as it was under 5 minute waiting time. I've also heard right when they open and right before they close has short time frames.

i got my case number today .

I just call NVC and now they are telling they received my file on Dec 2 before they tell me they received it on Dec 6.

I still haven't got my case number yet.

3/5/13 - Sent I-130 (Phenix Lockbox) UPS Overnight

3/11/13 - Cleared the check

3/19/13 - NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 3/6/13 (MSC)

6/10/13 - Case was Touched

6/19/13 - call from senator office

7/8/13 - Case show up online as Initial Review for the first time

10/24/13 - Case transferred email (transferred to other USCIS office)

10/25/13 - Case transferred email (transferred to local USCIS office)

10/28/13 - Hard Copy transferred mail (CSC)

10/30/13 - Case update email (transferred and is now being processed)

11/4/13 - Case was Touched

Is there anyone file shipped to NVC after getting approval from Texas Service center recently ?
