I just got the hard copy of NOA2.

It states, we have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center..address and so on...

It also states you should allow a minimum of 30 days for NVC to process before contacting them.

Now i heard stories like USCIS didn't send petitions to NVC in like a month etc... So my question is, did they really send it, or do they just say that on (everybody's) NOA2 for whatever reason.

I was confused when they transferred me week ago saying my petition went in ''local office'' but it was actually in CSC.

Also, should i give them 30 days or start calling like next week ?

One more thing...these forms DS-230 PART I & II

I understand my wife (beneficiary) will have to fill them out. Are they electronic or ?

If not then, is it better for me to send these to her, or is it ok is she print them out over there and send them tome or NVC ? The reason i'm asking is because of paper size in Europe and here, our G-325 forms where different size. USCIS didnt mind i guess, i dont know about NVC so that's why im asking.

Also, is there anything else she needs to sign, so i can have her do that or is it just DS-230 PART I ? Why does it say....Completed and unsigned form DS-230 Part II by the beneficiary ?

I have all other documents when i went to Europe last month except two pic's and this DS-230 part 1&2 forms.

Just received my case complete email notification from NVC ~ a day shy of 1 month after emailing the AOS and DS-260 supporting documents. [we are doing electronic processing]

And the biggest joy is that we did not get a checklist! dancin5hr.gif

Which means you had case complete about 1 week ago. Come on over to the case compkete interview thread. I am updating now.

To confirm, the petitioner can submit the DS-260 on behalf of the beneficiary. Correct?

Yes.

I did sorry. Just been reading a lot, and got confused.

Is Original Employment letter required by NVC, or just tax transcripts and pay stubs ?

Saylin, I know that you said we should read all the questions/answers before starting to ask you new ones, but please pleaaase I just want to know if the IV packet needs to be sent to the NVC or brought to the interview date??? My husband asked our attorney and he said that we need to gather the needed papers for AOS package for the NVC process. Is it true? Maybe for moroccan consulate? I just want to know if the NVC process you talked about is a common one. Thank you soooo much

To go along with A&AM, Does the IV package goto NVC in the US or the US consulate in beneficiary's country. I only ask because my wife still needs to obtain the police record and she has her original birth cert and marriage cert.

I understand the AOS processs. I am just a little confused with the IV package because it is requesting all the information of the beneficiary which I don't have original copies of in the US. I hope I'm making sense.

I am sure Saylin will respond to you...but I know that everything (even IV package) gets sent to NVC. I have seen circumstances on this thread where some cases were granted an expedite and bypassed NVC and went straight to the consulate. But, everyone else sends them to the NVC. I had my husband (beneficiary) send all of his original documents to me by mail (which took some time), and then I sent everything in the IV package out myself in the US.

12/30/2012 Got married!

02/01/2013 Sent I-130 via Priority Mail USPS

02/05/2013 NOA1 Priority Date

04/09/2013 Called USCIS-informed by Tier 2 officer that my case was transferred to Washington D.C. on March 13

09/05/2013 NOA2

09/27/2013 NVC received case

Submitted DS-261

Paid AOS bill

10/16/2013 Paid IV bill

10/19/2013 Submitted DS-260
10/21/2013 Mailed AOS and IV packages overnight

11/15/2013 IV package accepted/Checklist for AOS

11/26/2013 New AOS documents received at NVC

12/19/2013 Case Complete

12/27/2013-Received Interview letter

01/26/2014-Husband's Medical Exam

02/13/2014-Interview- Approved, but the consular officer did not see I-864 joint sponsor documents, and sent my husband home with the packet of all the original documents, and told him to mail it in when he gets it. My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.

02/26/2014-Consular office received "missing" documents and gave it to CO for review

03/17/2014-Visa Issued!

03/20/2014- Received Visa

03/21/2014- POE!

I don't mean to be rude but why would you have a lawyer pay them than not listen to them. No country is exempt going through NVC for AOS or IV for a IR1/CR1. Yes you submit it all to NVC not at interview that is a K1 who does that.

The NVC is for every consulate. Please read post #1 and #2.

Also, If we are suppose to send originals of marriage cert and birth cert of beneficiary, how do we recover these important documents back from NVC?
