Called NVC last week and on Dec 5th they told us that our case is complete and waiting for Interview to be scheduled. I called again today morning and NVC said the same thing. I get an email in the afternoon from NVC about a checklist that PCC is missing and needs to be submitted. We did submit the original PCC and a copy of it as well along with IV documents.

I called NVC in the evening twice and when i asked them about the checklist they told me that Case is complete(at both times) and it was a mistake to send me a checklist for PCC. have not received the Case complete email and when i asked NVC about that they told me that i should get it soon. Not sure what soon means and hope its not 30 business days for the email confirmation.

Did any one get a checklist for PCC after case complete and then found out from NVC on the phone that it is Case complete at NVC? I don't know what to believe now. Is my case complete or do i have to worry about the checlist.

I got a Case complete in 20 business days on Dec 5th. Some people have been getting in about 25 business days. So 20-25 business days seems to tbe trend to hear from NVC.

is it 20 to 25 business days after the package is shipped to NVC?

Good morning! I just got my nvc numbers and iid numbers. I was reading through the guide but noticed 'Note: Please keep in mind, since NVC requiredeveryone to use the online DS-261 and DS-260 forms starting September 1st, 2013, a lot of the following guides have become outdated. Please use caution.' Can you shed more light on this? I went to the form site and it just says nothing can be done for our case yet.

Hi guys :)

I have a list of all documents that we will need in NVC process but still confused a little bit. Do i need to provide my birth certificate too ? I'm the petitioner. Photographs ? Just my wife or me ?

And most confused one is...Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.

Is it just my wife ( beneficiary) who has to provide this long form or both of us. I know it says applicants, but just want to make sure what i need. Since it will take 10-15 days for mail to come to USA. It would not be fun forgetting something. Thank you all for your help :)

Nothing about the petitioner. The DS-260 is the Immigration Visa application all aout the Beneficiary.

Long form means all details. Many countries have a short BC and long Long has paremts information also.

I called the NVC number at the beginning the thread and it's saying I'm reaching anon working Department of State number. Should I call NVC?

Well depends what you wnat to know. If its about the packages you sent NVC. About your Visa, Interview scheule you can call DOS But most times its best to call NVC. DOS is more VISA related.

As I stated, some of the guides linked in the first post are outdated as they're talking about DS-3032 and DS-230. Since September 1st, everyone's required to submit the DS-261 and DS-260 online, thus some of the guides are outdated.

And the DS-261 won't be available for a couple of days since your case number was JUST assigned.

I suggest you read post 2 as that is kept up to date.

I called the NVC number at the beginning the thread and it's saying I'm reaching anon working Department of State number. Should I call NVC?

Thanks!!

Looking at your timeline, your I-130 just got approved. You should be calling NVC, not DOS. There are two numbers listed, be careful which one you use.
