If anyone can help or give advise that would be great. My case has been shipped to NVC on the second of the month and going from history of the forum, I might get case number within the next week or so. The confusion I have is what to do with my wife's Pakistani passport. The Pakistani passport has a field for father's or husbands name. She currently has her father's name and not mine. Should we change it before sending copy to NVC? It will take a couple of weeks or maybe more and I don't want to delay the process too much. Is it even necessary to change because we can just change it later? Thanks

Unless it's required by Pakistan, no it's not needed at NVC. But you shouldn't be asking this in a general forum. You need to go in the regional forums and ask there as it's country-specific.

Hello Everybody!! I was just approved today, and have been looking through the threads and FAQs in this forum ,very helpful smile.png Thank you!!

Will a copy of my tax return transcript suffice, or will they need the individual 1040s and W2s?

Thanks!

Congrats!

And the tax return transcript is MUCH preferred over copies of the tax return + W2s + schedules.

Just called the NVC and they gave me the generic 30 business days response. They did confirm they received my documents on Nov. 21. Hubby and I are crossing our fingers for a nice Case Complete Christmas present from the NVC.

Is 30 business days the normal time frame given or is it just because of the holidays and office hours are reduced?

I am the petitioner.

Guys, How long does it take on avg for NVC to review the case once all the docs are submitted. My case is under review since 22nd November.

I got a Case complete in 20 business days on Dec 5th. Some people have been getting in about 25 business days. So 20-25 business days seems to tbe trend to hear from NVC.

Hello, I am now in this step of my journey. I receive my NOA2 copy today and they said that they transferred my case to NVC. I also received an email today:

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: MSCXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On December 9, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

My case was approved Dec 5. I am very happy for all the support here in visa journey. I am hoping for a smooth NVC process. Thanks.

Ya, since the September 1st DS-261/DS-260 policy change, operators have been giving out a 30 business day time frame to review packages. Most packages get reviewed a little sooner, but with the holidays now coming up, it could just take that long.
