I have a question about sending NVC photograph. What is the requirement? Is it the same size and style picture that is sent to USCIS with I-130 form?

Take a look on this.............

I have read the informative posts at the start of this thread but I just want to be sure...

We were approved on 5th December and we are currently waiting for our case number. I don't need to fill any forms in or formally request the number do I?

Am i right in thinking they will contact us with the number when it has been assigned?

I'm not in any particular rush so I'm not bothered about chasing them up with phone calls.

Many thanks and happy christmas!

for me, uscis shipped approved case to NVC on nov 5. and NVC confirmed they can see it was received on 25th of nov. it took 20 days for me. I still didnt receive the case number yet

I see in your signature that you completed DS-261, and not the online form DS-3032. Is that by choice or USCIS still allows DS-3032 only for people from certain countries and Pakistan is not in that list?

Please keep us posted on how you will file the IV application - DS-230 [which is a paper copy] or the new online form DS-230.

All the best.

you might wanna read post 1 and post 2 of this thread to get all the information you need. you no longer have to send DS3032 through email. Everyone needs to fill in the agent form DS-261 through the Forms portal. yes pakistan is not eligible for Electronic processing. But the choice of agent form and the IV application are both mandatory online for everyone. There is no paper copy of DS230 , you need to do it through the forms portal.

Saylin,

2 nights ago NVC tried to contact me but I missed the call, I tried to call them back and told me that my expedite request is approved and not to pay and submit any documents at NVC because they will forward it within 24 hrs at the embassy.

Question, since I never paid and submit anything at NVC when and where I will pay and submit it? I have all the civil documents here with me, should I sent it back to my mother so she can bring it to the interview or submit it there?

Thanks, so confuse about th diffrent process.

I think sis direct to embassy, were thinking to expedite our case too, but what is the requirements to expedite the case?thanks

Hi Dubecky,

We received the notice via email.

Good luck!

To Saylin and others,

Do you recommend to send an email request to request E-communication? so to go paperless?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but i chose principal applicant as the choice of agent then i put my email address.. Correspondence from the U.S. Department of State regarding your visa application will be sent to: i put my husband's address and contact nmber, not mine. Is it fine?

Principal Applicant is the beneficiary (remember to put the name as it is on the beneficiaries passport) and in this case the beneficiary is you, you name should have gone there. When you are filling that form out, it continues on, and ask who you would like to assign as choice of agent, that is where you choose the choice of agent..it could be you (but it is recommended to choose someone in the US), your Husband (the petitioner), or a lawyer if you have one.

If you chose principal applicant as the choice of agent, then only way that is right is if both are you (meaning you are the principal applicant and choice of agent), I am assuming you're the beneficiary.

If you're in no rush, you don't need to make a single call. You'll receive correspondence from NVC by snail mail, which can take weeks to receive. Expect to be in NVC for a few months then.

If you want things to go a little faster though, I suggest you call to get the case number and give over your email addresses, so then NVC will send correspondence by email, which greatly reduces the time waiting.

Yeah thats whatI read more waiting for our case number. Congrats.

Is there anything you or us are able to do at the NVC stage while waiting for the case number?

You can get the two packages ready while you're waiting. Once they're ready, review them every single day to make sure nothing is missing/wrong. Get a fresh set of eyes to review the paperwork to make sure nothing is missing/wrong.

As someone else mentioned, please go and review posts 1 and 2. The online form DS-3032 IS the DS-261. USCIS has nothing to do with the DS-3032/DS-261. That form is sent during the NVC process. And as of September 1st, 2013, everyone is required to send the DS-261 online. They'll no longer accept the DS-3032, whether by snail mail or by email.

And as with the DS-3032/DS-261, the DS-230 is no longer used by NVC. Everyone is required to fill the online form, called the DS-260.

Happy holidays. May we all be able to see our another half soon!

Once the AOS bill shows as PAID, you can send the AOS package. Don't need to wait on NVC for that.

As for the IV track, once the DS-261 has been received and added to the case file, the IV bill will be invoiced. Pay it when available. Once that shows as PAID, you can send the IV package and complete the DS-260 online.

I suggest you go back and read posts 1 and 2 as your questions can be answered there by doing some reading.

Hi Dubecky,

We received the notice via email.

Good luck!

Thanks

You don't need to send any emails. Just call up NVC and give over both email addresses. By doing that, you'll receive all correspondence from NVC by email.
