My fiancee has his interview this week at the Lima Embassy (December 5th), and I'm trying to buy a flight for my fiancee in advance. Of course the embassy doesn't recommend buying anything in advance, but I found a killer deal on JetBlue and would like to try and take advantage of it for financial reasons.

For those of you who have received a visa from the Lima Embassy, how many business days did it take for your approved visa/passport to arrive via DHL (for pickup in Lima)?

Thanks in advance!

You want to gamble with the killer deal, that is your choice. I understand your reason to want to do that, I saw only 1 time, a ticket to Brazil to see my wife for less than $1000 and it is not unusual to be closer to $2000. If I saw that $600 ticket again today, I would jump at it. (How much I wanted to kick myself now)

How much later can you book a ticket?... can you book it on Thursday if the interviewer tell him when to expect the visa? (say a week for sample and have the ticket be booked for another week after that)

Anyway, did you check on the review/embassy/poe section at the top of the page. It can helpful.
