i am asking everyone this question because some of them are not puting an exact dates of when they sent their packages only the dates of paying the fees and without stating if they received a checklist or not so we can understand the process that much better and some of them are not filling their timelines that much clear to understand...i am hoping that everyone would put a signature and explain his\her journey through the NVC so anyone who is going through this would come and see how much time it took each one that is the reason why i ask :) i am keeping myself updated by where exactly the NVC reached into the process...i hope everyone would fill out their timeline for the VJ users to look at and count the time frame for each case and each step.

Ya, I try to fill out in my signature EVERY step in the process, when I called someone, when I learned ANYTHING about my case. It's very helpful to see all the interim steps.

well the time;line that visa journey website has for the I130 through the NVC stage is not even works nowadays since the DS 261 and the DS 260 is required for us to fill out and this needs an update beside the ds3032 is not

available for the users to fill out so the time line that we are using for others to understand is guideless nowadays and became complicated to understand and it doesn't have the IV package when it was mailed and if the user got a checklist or not before the case completed that is why the signature is there so everyone would fill it out with the dates so others who are coming after us would have a look at it and understand how long it took everyone before them that went through the uscis and the NVC until the visa issued...and even provide informations about when i took them to get the case number and if they did put an expedite request or not and so on....well as a summary the timeline would be great if it is in a signature to explain all the visa journey starting from the first step with the USCIS.... :) hopefully you understand why i am asking everyone about the packages AOS and the IV.

What is packet 3.5 ?

My K1/K3 case has been approved and is transferred from National Visa Center to the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. What do I do next?

Please wait patiently. The applicant or petitioner should receive an instruction packet 3.5 after the Embassy has reviewed the file. This process can take 2-3 weeks. The instruction packet 3.5 will be sent to the applicant at his/her mailing address. If you do not receive your packet 3.5 after one month, please write to us by using our web-based e-mail submission form stating your case number and the name and date of birth of the applicant.

See why the K3 are obsolete and worthless now. here you are waiting for interview date and your I-129F petition still has to get to embassy and you do all the document gathering you just did in NVC. So figure another 3 to 5 months you will have interview. Its your choice to contact embassy and tell them what path you want to take.

What is packet 3.5 ?

The instructions to get forms and medical and such. for K1's/K3's. Why they call it a 3.5 have no clue.
