Hello, pls i need help. i relocated to the united states in 2010 and could not file for my fiance then due to hardship. so i just did the file a couple of months back. in September they requested for RFE. which i sent to them. the only issue was i had not gone to see my fiance since i moved to the united states. although i plan to go next month. last week, they sent me another rfe saying i should provide evidence that i had met my fiance in the two years preceding the filing. i don't know what to do. pls i need suggestions. please what do i do.

So you haven't met/seen your fiancé in the last 2 years? Your petition will be denied, as this is a requirement. You should withdraw the petition, since you can't satisfy the RFE.

You'll have to visit one another and refile. When you do, make sure to keep your boarding passes, keep receipts and take some photos etc.

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K-1 Visa Guide Documentary Proof section:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

That section speaks about the types of evidence necessary for successful visa petition acceptance. A primary requirement of the K-1 visa is that you HAVE to have met your fiancé(e) in the two years prior to the I-129F petition filing. If you have yet to comply with this initial requirement, you should consider withdrawing your current petition and refiling after you have met this requirement.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
