COLUMBUS, Ohio - A robbery suspect has died from a gunshot wound he suffered at the hands of one of his alleged victims.

Columbus Police say 23-year-old Jonathan Milton, two other men and a teenage girl tried to rob two people at a west side apartment on Cascade Court Wednesday.

10TV spoke with the robbery victims. 55-year-old Elec Reed says he ran outside for help when the suspects came in.

67-year-old Edward Finnell says that is when one of the robbers pulled a gun on him, and he reacted.

“I didn't want to shoot nobody, but i didn't want to get shot. Just like something sprang and I was right back in Vietnam again- kill or be killed,” Finnell said.

Finnel shot Milton and 25-year-old Carmeore Johnson.

Both men were transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Milton died Saturday. Johnson is expected to survive.

Johnson, 21-year-old Deshaun Farr and 17-year-old Kadijiah Robinson are all charged with aggravated robbery.

Robinson is also charged with murder.

This is the second random attack faced by the guy who shot the thugs. The first time he was bashed in the head with a baseball bat – he lost 1/2 his ear. This time he shares:

Another case of 4 thugs entering a home with the intent of doing harm. This is why an ar-15 with a 30 round mag should be the desired weapon of choice for home protection. ......

Use enough gun!

I hope the other piece of defecation dies soon.

Interesting that one of the perpetrators also is charged with the murder of his cohort. Good idea. In addition to the possibility of getting capped by your victim, you should also be charged with the murder of anyone who was killed because of your actions, even those killed by your intended victim.

As usual, the police were the last to arrive.

This is also why you need to carry your gun at all times when you are awake and keep it close to you when sleeping. In addition to being the safest way to keep a loaded gun (the only loaded gun in my house is on my hip) from falling into the wrong hands, it is always there when needed. You cannot know when you need it.

On another note, when I drive to the grocery store, I take my gun, my spare tire and wear a seat belt. So far I have not needed any of them.

Assuming you are right-handed, do you sling your spare tire on your LEFT hip?

Sure ..... I will say that 00 buck would do the trick. The county where I live it can take years to get a pistol permit. A judge has to approve and sign off on the permits and according to the news reporters he has over a several hundred applications on his desk and looks at about 20/month to sign. You have to go with what you can make work. With four people invading your home 30 rounds may not even be enough. Black hills makes some good stuff to use.

#######! Get a shot gun! AR-15 were designed to take out targets in open space and at further distances.

In clinical tests number 4 buckshot has proven to be more effective for self defense.

Why don't you move? I mean if it is a county thing (you must be in New York?) why not move to another county? Are your skills marketable somewhere else? Move to a free state if you can.

Here's one that went the other way. The 18 year old's fault for not being armed when heading to work right? I mean, that's the country I want to live in:

An 18-year-old convenience store clerk was shot during an attempted robbery Monday night on Squires Road.

Lt. Eddie Hart of the Lexington police said three men with guns came to the Pantry Fresh Market about 9:15 p.m.

One of three clerks on duty at the time began throwing things at the men.

"They probably realized they weren't going to be able to complete the type of robbery" they expected to, Hart said.

Without saying anything, the three robbers began shooting, and the 18-year-old was hit in the lower abdomen, Hart said.

After they left, the armed men fired shots back into the business, breaking a window and putting a bullet hole in a glass door.

"We're recovering a lot of shell casings," Hart said.

He said the victim was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with what was considered a life-threatening injury.

Hart said the victim was working at the store with his father and a woman.

The three armed men were wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up and had bandanas over their faces. Two of the men were wearing camouflage pants, Hart said.

He said police are investigating some other recent robberies in which the perpetrators were dressed similarly.

No customers were inside the store at the time, but a customer parked nearby was able to give police a description of a vehicle, and police were reviewing surveillance video as well, he said.

Of course it went the other way, the victims were unarmed and defenseless against 3 men with guns. Gun vs no gun, gun usually wins. In the OP, the victim and the criminal were both armed.
